Tenebris: Terra Incognita changes
Dear friends, in this devlog we will reveal a bit about current work on the game Tenebris: Terra Incognita.
Right now we are actively preparing for the second major update, which will be released in the fall. We can’t say the exact date yet, because we decided to introduce more than originally planned.
New interface
Our team was reinforced by a UX/UI specialist, and we decided to completely redesign our «old-school» interface. Now the game will look more modern and technological.
Also, in addition to the graphic style, the new interface will introduce a lot of small improvements that affect the game experience.
New monsters and location

In the global update called «Secrets of the Blood Crater» you will be facing new nasty monsters. By continuing the story adventure, you will encounter an unknown parasite with an outer shell resembling dinosaurs.
These creatures inhabit a deep crater, left by an unknown cosmic force. The place is desecrated, but you will have to study it, the survival of the whole expedition depends on it!
These monsters will have new mechanics unlike anything you’ve seen before in the game. And that means it’s time to refuel your flamethrowers again, preparing for new challenges!
Biography of the heroes
As part of diversification and personalisation, all heroes will get perks. Slightly changing the gameplay for each hero.
Perks of «Specialty» type will give only positive effects, perks from «Psychotype» category will give mixed effects, and category «Phobias and injuries» - negative effects.
This new feature will make every member of your team more unique.
Weather phenomena
It seems that some of the players have adapted to the fauna of the planet Tenebris and relaxed! But the planet has prepared its own surprises for them!
Now an inexperienced scout will have to face the Ion storm, Acid rain and other «charms» of the planet!
However, hardened players will be able to turn this natural disaster in their favor. Because monsters are also exposed to natural phenomena, and therefore there is room for the human tactical genius!
Blockages
In the last update we didn’t have enough time to introduce Defencor-based class mechanics into the game. Now we are fixing this unfortunate misunderstanding!
While traveling around the planet, you will be able to clear previously closed passages and find hidden paths with valuable loot!
