What we collect
Changelog.gg performs read-only public-source collection from Steam news, publisher pages, Riot pages, RSS feeds, GitHub releases, npm releases, Roblox and status pages, and similar public sources.
We do not bypass logins, paywalls, private APIs, access controls, robots controls we have committed to respect, or technical restrictions to obtain source material.
Source links and original publisher pages are authoritative. Changelog.gg may cache, summarise, classify, timestamp, and link to public update data, but it is not the official source of the update.
Attribution and non-affiliation
Changelog.gg is not affiliated with Valve, Steam, Riot, Epic, Discord, publishers, developers, or tracked games unless a page explicitly says so.
Steam data and Steam Web API data are provided on as-is terms. Changelog.gg must not present Steam data as endorsed by or affiliated with Valve or Steam, and must not hide the original source relationship.
Source-owner removals, robots preferences, legal demands, security issues, platform policy changes, and publisher edits can cause source coverage, source trails, feeds, or Discord alerts to change or disappear without notice.
Provenance and pacing
We store source URLs, source type, detected time, fetched time, parser state, content hashes, and evidence needed to explain what changed. Source fetchers should be paced, bounded, and respectful of upstream rate limits.
Discord alerts should include evidence or source links where practical and should not imply endorsement by source platforms, publishers, developers, or tracked games.
Source-owner requests
Source owners can request correction, attribution updates, removal, pacing review, or crawler questions through abuse@changelog.gg or copyright@kordu.gg where rights are involved.
