These terms apply when you access Changelog.gg, create an account, install the Discord bot, configure game-update alerts, use public feeds or APIs, or buy a paid plan.
Service description
Changelog.gg provides source-backed game update intelligence. We collect and normalize public patch notes, Steam news, RSS feeds, GitHub releases, npm releases, status pages, publisher posts, and similar public-source material so communities can see what changed and where the evidence came from.
The service may include public web pages, dashboards, API routes, feeds, Discord OAuth login, Discord bot delivery, source trails, alert routing, billing pages, and support workflows.
Accounts and Discord access
You are responsible for keeping account and Discord workspace access under your control. If you connect Discord, you authorize us to use Discord OAuth and bot permissions needed to identify your account, list servers you can manage where permitted, read selected server, channel, role, and route configuration, and send game-update alerts to the channels you configure.
Server administrators can remove the bot or revoke permissions in Discord. Changelog.gg cannot override Discord permission hierarchy, server settings, or platform enforcement.
You must only connect Discord servers and channels you are authorized to manage. You are responsible for routes, settings, webhooks, subscriptions, and alert destinations configured under your account or server permissions.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse Changelog.gg, evade limits, attack credentials, overload feeds or APIs, misrepresent affiliation, harass source owners, remove attribution, or use the service to infringe rights. The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these terms.
Billing, cancellation, and consumer rights
Paid features may be sold through Stripe checkout, Stripe customer portal flows, Discord-native purchase paths, or another flow we publish in the product. Prices, billing period, included limits, cancellation controls, and refund information are shown at or before purchase.
You can cancel a paid plan through the billing surface that sold it, through Discord where the purchase is Discord-native, or by contacting support. For consumers, UK distance-selling rules may give a 14 days cancellation period, subject to statutory exceptions and any express request for immediate supply of digital content or digital services.
Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by these terms. Where the product page, checkout, Discord purchase flow, or receipt gives more specific cancellation, renewal, refund, or plan-limit information, that information also forms part of the contract for that purchase.
Third-party services and no affiliation
Changelog.gg depends on third-party services such as Cloudflare, Discord, Stripe, Steam, GitHub, npm, Roblox, publishers, RSS feeds, and status pages. Their own terms and availability may apply.
Changelog.gg is not affiliated with Steam, Valve, Discord, game publishers, GitHub, npm, Roblox, or other source platforms unless a signed agreement says otherwise. Source names, platform names, and game names are used for identification and provenance.
We are not responsible for third-party platforms, source websites, source content, Discord outages, payment processor failures, publisher changes, rate limits, removals, or decisions made by independent providers.
No warranties and source accuracy
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Changelog.gg is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not promise that update detection, source parsing, summaries, feeds, Discord delivery, billing integrations, search, dashboards, or API routes will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, complete, or accurate.
Source-backed intelligence can still be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, misclassified, or changed by the original source. You should verify important decisions against the original source trail before acting.
Your responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for your use of Changelog.gg, including configured Discord destinations, feed/API use, copied content, source-owner interactions, and compliance with laws and platform rules that apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KORDU LTD from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, breach of these terms, unlawful configuration, infringement, false notice, false affiliation claim, or violation of a third-party platform rule.
Availability, termination, and liability
We aim to provide reliable game-update intelligence, but public sources, Discord delivery, and third-party platforms can be delayed, unavailable, rate limited, incomplete, or wrong. Do not rely on Changelog.gg as the only source for emergency, safety, financial, or legal decisions.
We may suspend or terminate access where needed to protect the service, users, source owners, legal rights, third-party platform compliance, payment integrity, or operational reliability.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, deliberate misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KORDU LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, consequential, or business losses, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, source delay, or substitute service costs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the affected service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the claim or GBP 100.
Changes
We may update these terms where needed for product, legal, security, billing, source, or platform-policy reasons. Material changes will be reflected by the last-updated date or through a reasonable product notice where appropriate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you mandatory rights in another place.
