Tenebris: Terra Incognita changes
Hi, friends! Finally, we’ve gotten to the girls with the big guns!
Snipers in Tenebris are quite canonical; this class boldly and confidently delivers the highest damage numbers of any class to the player.
Pellentes
Clad in light armor and with low health, Pellentes easily makes up for her weaknesses with one ironclad fact: she is the ONLY hero capable of killing enemies with a single shot right from the start of the game! And for that, as we all know, you’d sell your soul to a waffle monster or whoever it is you pray- and make sacrifices to.
One of the most popular builds for this hero isn’t focused on negative effects, as an inexperienced player might think, but rather on making her a critical strike specialist, maximizing both critical strike chance and critical strike damage.
The “Pull the Trigger” ability deals massive damage and, with a critical hit, will take down most monsters right at the start of the game.
Remember that nasty bug, Brachinus? This armored creature has a nasty habit of dousing our entire team with poison and acid. Well, the hero easily takes down this villain using the “Explosive Shot” ability, which ignores armor.
Pellentes has high speed and initiative, which means she’s often the first on the team to attack. Thanks to her impressive damage and speed, she pairs perfectly with another damage-dealer—Miles. With good aim and a bit of luck, this dangerous duo can significantly thin out the enemy team on the very first turn, leaving your healer lonely and bored on the sidelines.
However, there are some particularly nimble creatures on the planet that are really hard to hit. What to do?! Pellentes has an answer to this challenge as well! The “Laser Targeting” ability significantly reduces the enemy’s evasion and speed, after which the creature will no longer pose any problem for our brave space marines!
So brew some coffee, add Pellentes to your team, and watch as pieces fly off those nasty bugs with a satisfying crunch!
Vidua
Vidua are top-tier professional sharpshooters. However, they have a s-s-s-s-mall secret—the team members are injected with stimulants that significantly enhance their reaction time and visual acuity. Some might say this is cheating. We’ll respond by saying that in war, all’s fair. Especially in a war against vile bugs and other monsters!
Think about it: why would a rapid-fire shooter with superhuman reflexes need a slow, bulky gun? It makes more sense to grab two pistols and turn Tenebris into the “Wild West”! That’s exactly why Vidua fighters hold many of the records for rate of fire and accuracy, even stealing the spotlight from many of their colleagues in more “advanced” squads.
In addition to dealing substantial damage, the hero excels at controlling the battlefield with shock attacks and other tricks up her sleeve. That’s exactly why so many vote for Vidua in the competition for a spot on the squad.
It might seem like Vidua’s squad is all about chaos on the battlefield, but nothing could be further from the truth! Their approach to combat is highly structured thanks to the “Panther System”—a unique combat reflex enhancer! Under the influence of this device, Vidua’s combat reflexes are maximized, granting significant bonuses to stats!
Experienced players know how to unlock the class’s full potential! How? Level up the hospital and unlock the deadliest stimulants, since Vidua has special talents that amplify their effects!
Vidua is a space cowboy on steroids—both literally and figuratively!
Sancto
If you want to join Sancto, we have some good news for you: unlike the Vidua unit, here you won’t have to pump your body full of dangerous combat stimulants. At Sancto, everything is done using the latest technology. Advanced surveillance, detection, and target recognition systems—all the latest gadgets are at your disposal!
Sancto is a direct and logical continuation of Pellentes, which means your critical hit stats are second to none. And Sancto’s flagship technology is the Special Instant Camouflage System (SICS), which allows them to remain invisible to most enemies. Deadly shots fired from camouflage often prove fatal to unsuspecting creatures!
Particularly skilled fighters can literally turn into ghosts, remaining invisible throughout the entire battle. However, if you let vicious creatures get too close, this tactic can prove fatal for Sancto, as the sweeping blows from their massive claws can hit the hero.
So remember, there’s only one rule for successfully playing as Sancto. You must not become a target for those vile creatures, and to achieve this, it’s best to have heavy infantry in your squad to distract the enemy. While the mindless bugs try to pierce the stormtrooper’s armored steel, your sniper will knock them down like bowling pins without even breaking a sweat!
So grab a bigger gun and don’t mess around—otherwise, there’ll be way too many deaths!
Venefica
Rumor has it that if you want to join Venefica’s elite sniper unit, you must agree to—no less than—an intervention in your genetic code.
“That’s blasphemy! How could anyone possibly agree to something like that?!” some exclaim in outrage.
Nevertheless, the accuracy and reflexes of Venefica members are second to none. Could the secret to their abilities lie in their modified DNA? For now, that remains a mystery. As for the army’s top brass, they completely deny the very possibility of such experiments on soldiers (as if anyone would doubt it). One thing is clear: the Venefica group are unrivaled bounty hunters who don’t shy away from “forbidden practices".
That’s exactly what their primary class ability is called. Here’s how it works: for every enemy the hero kills, Venefica gains an effect called “Hunter’s Reward.” As soon as they accumulate 3 of these rewards, the hero takes a double turn! This turns an already fast class into a super-fast one!
In addition, Hunter’s Reward can be spent to activate new, ultra-powerful abilities, such as “Sicario,” which increases the hero’s critical damage by 100%!
The “Bio-Mutant” talent allows you to use even more stimulants at the same time, further boosting the hero’s power.
Here’s a little spoiler: at launch, there won’t be 6 stimulants, there will be 12! Now there’s plenty of room for a true tactics enthusiast to shine!
Speed, crowd control, and heavy damage—that’s probably the best way to describe Venefica! Afraid of bugs? Trust us, with Venefica on your team, they’ll be far more afraid of you!
Phantasma
If you’re one of the best in your Sancto squad, you might be called up to join the very elite of the Spacers—the Phantasma.
There, you’ll be eliminating local creatures and rescuing lost, lone scientists from the cold caves where they went to study the local flora. And of course, you’ll have prototypes of the latest OSMM 2.0 devices, being tested in the field, and even the sharpest enemy eye won’t spot you!
Phantasma is the true queen of sniping; her “Bloody Lady” talent increases the hero’s damage against bleeding targets by 50 and against enraged targets by 100. Believe me, the damage numbers go through the roof, and enemies burst like balloons! And it’s all because a critical hit grants Phantasma the “Art of the Sniper” effect, which, in turn, greatly increases her critical damage.
The incredibly powerful ability “Pull the Trigger” now attacks all targets in a line, and “Target Neutralization” knocks the enemy off their feet! Yes, now control has been added to the already devastating damage—which is definitely something to celebrate, right?
Even if an enemy blends into the terrain, they won’t be able to hide from the watchful eye of our Phantasma. The “Combat Thermal Vision” talent helps detect particularly cunning creatures, while “Target Lock” automatically highlights an unsuspecting victim. Spice all this up with guaranteed critical hits on “highlighted” targets, and you’ve got a true goddess of death!
Phantasma pairs perfectly with any other class, as she’s self-sufficient and focuses less on applying negative effects and more on landing critical hits—and she’s undeniably incredibly strong at that!
And of course, don’t forget to combine your abilities in a way that lets you trigger combo attacks alongside Phantasma, because she’s unmatched in that regard, too!
P.S. As always, we’d appreciate it if you’d leave a review of the game if you enjoyed it—it’ll help us promote the game on Steam.
