Our team is actively working on the second major update called “ Creatures of the Bloody Crater.” We are making every effort to complete it by the end of autumn, but the scope of the task has turned out to be much greater than we had anticipated.

For example, the new interface cannot be implemented in stages, so we must complete it in its entirety before presenting the updated version of the game to players.

New interface

The main drawback of the old interface was its design, which gave the project a mobile game feel.

Tenebris is a turn-based game in which the interface takes up a significant portion of the screen, and we interact with it for a large amount of time. Therefore, the main task in its creation was to add decorative elements and move away from the mobile feel.

One of the significant changes that improves the gaming experience is the display of passive talents in the skills tab. Now all passive skills are immediately visible, without the need to scroll endlessly.

All heroes have a complete illustration, but in the old interface it was difficult to find, this time around we decided to place more focus on it.

In the new interface, it will be possible to view monster characteristics outside of combat. Find out their damage, crit chance, etc.

In the future, we plan to add a “Profile” tab, where there will be minimal customization and character statistics. Damage dealt, kills, time spent in our team!

Continuation of the story

In the upcoming update, you can expect eight new storyline missions and at least ten side missions. Our goal is to provide players with the most intense leveling experience possible from levels 10 to 20. You will explore a new game zone, the Bloody Crater, where you will encounter dangerous creatures.

We haven't forgotten about the old locations either. New missions will appear there as well!

New monsters

Some of the monsters inhabiting the crater have already been drawn and animated and are included in the dev version of the game.

However, some of them are still in development, and our animator is actively working on them.

Hero Biographies

In the next update, each hero will receive their own unique combination of perks that will affect their gameplay. We call this the “hero biography.”

These perks will be designed as references to popular memes, movies, and other memorable elements of our culture.

Working on new heroes

Right now, we are working on new level 20+ heroes. There will be 10 of them in the game, 2 for each archetype, and you will be able to see them at release. The main task is to give each hero their own unique mechanics.

Let's take the level 21 engineer with the simple name Engineeris as an example. So, the guys from the supply department teamed up with a group of scientists and managed to take apart one of the crystalloids. As a result, they obtained new technologies, which they immediately applied to the bugs. The result was impressive!

The hero can make short leaps in time right in the middle of battle. Sending enemies to the next round or bringing back allies who have already made their move.

It's all quite fun to play and allows you to get out of the most difficult situations.

Music and Sound Design

Our composer is working on new compositions for both new and existing locations. We strive to enrich the musical landscape of the game.

We would also like to note that our team has expanded with a new sound designer who is actively working on the sound design for new monsters.

Thank you for every review, suggestion, and rating on Steam. We appreciate your activity and contribution to the development of the game!
