With the blend of fast-paced action and laid-back resource gathering, you get a gameplay loop where you collect resources, constantly upgrade your stats, unlock new areas, and don't forget about the battles that literally chase you everywhere! changedWho is Sadko and why is he doing this?Sadko is a hero from Slavic epics who got fabulously rich because of his talent and skill at playing a musical instrument called the gusli*. In our game, he’s been called to help develop the city of Belozero, which is crawling with all kinds of nasty creatures. However, it’s been noted that these local evil beings are absolutely terrified of the sound of the letter "O." And guess what? Sadko is famous for his amazing "O" all over the world! Steam post image * The gusli is a traditional string plucked musical instrument that was popular in Kievan Rus.
changedWhat's special about your project?In the project, we're focusing on responsive gameplay, vibrant visuals, and dynamic action to keep players engaged. And we hope that the quirky voiceover , which uses just one letter , will be a memorable touch!
addedHow many people are working on the project?There are six of us in total – a game designer, a narrative designer, a programmer, and three 3D artists. We're a small but tight-knit team, and each week we add a little more to "Sadko."
addedWhen can I play?The earlier demo is already available on itch.io—it's what bwe managed to create in a week/b during the "Sineus" hackathon (where, by the way, we took one of the two winning spots). Right now, we're working hard to show players a complete demo with all our improvements by February 24, 2025. We're expecting the full release at the end of spring.
