New stuff

  • The demo now has an ending. Push deep enough and you'll find out what awaits.

  • Tutorialized control hints have been added for new players, so you're no longer thrown in blind.

  • Cooked or cured meat now heals more HP than raw meat. There's finally a real reason to cook before you eat.

Improvements

  • UI menus have been redesigned across the board. Cleaner, and more readable.

  • Enemy pathfinding is smarter now. They'll find you when needed.

  • Mutations are more visible on-screen, so you always know what's affecting you.

Balance

  • Hunger and perishable timers no longer tick while you're on the world map. No more returning to a dungeon with a bag full of rotten meat.

  • Dodge chance is now reduced when you have no gear equipped. Going in naked is riskier than ever.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed hover effects on main menu buttons.

  • Fixed the Borer device breaking your inventory when used from the world map.

  • Fixed depth being logged as 0 when dying on the first floor.

  • Fixed seed determinism when retrying a run. Same seed, same dungeon, for real this time.
