Ahoy, Tinkerlanders!

Can you believe March is already over? Well, for us it's still March until we publish our monthly devlog.

This month has been a weird one, while the team has been partially working on the next update, most of the development time has been spent on bugfixing and addressing community issues and feedback from the 'Towns & Dwellers' update. We created the 'experimental' branch and were able to fix a lot of issues thanks to your support. Then we pushed it to the public branch and fixed even more issues thanks to the new automated crash report tool. This month alone we've made over 300 changes, including: bugfixes, changes, new additions and balance.

In exchange, we had to slow down the new update development during this month, but still, we've been working on the new update and we are now ready to share a sneak peek of one of the next update's changes: the Codex rework.

The Codex Rework

We've been wanting to rework the Codex for a long time now. The current iteration, while somewhat useful, is still quite painful to navigate and doesn't contain all the info that we wanted to include.

So, here's the new Codex:

The new Codex includes a search section to quickly find whatever you are looking for, and some filters to better navigate it and find exactly what you want.

We've also included a few extra tabs in the codex: NPCs, Upgrades and Cube Recipes.

The 'NPCs' tab includes some lore bits about the NPCs (it's not showed in the image because we are still working on it), the items they like and dislike as well as their current amity value.

The 'Upgrades' tab contains information about the player's permanent upgrades, including things like the Life and Mana flowers, or the Day & Night dictionaries.

The 'Cube' tab contains information about the cube recipes you have learned. No more disk space wasted on screenshots for each recipe! (Yes, all the info there is a placeholder too)

A small gift

Because this devlog has been relatively short, here's a little gift from us that you can redeem ingame by going to'Options > Redeem Code' ALWAYSLATE

And that’s it for March. Thank you, as always, for always being there for us. See you in April!

And as always, our Discord is the best place to share feedback, meet new friends, and get the latest development updates!
