Ahoy, Tinkerlanders!

It's 1st of July, so that means that June ends today when our monthly devlog drops! We've been working on so many things this month that we are very sure you are really going to love (ahem, bigger chests).

But before we jump into the new stuff, we want to talk about something important.

Our Recent Reviews are currently showing as Mixed. Not the most exciting achievement to unlock, we admit. We know Tinkerlands still has rough edges, and we’re not ignoring them. We read your reviews, bug reports, Discord messages, and suggestions, and we’re doing everything we can to improve the game.

So here’s our small request: if you’ve played Tinkerlands and enjoyed your time with it, please consider leaving a review on Steam. It genuinely helps the game, helps new players understand what to expect, and helps us keep moving forward.

And if you left feedback about what needs to be better - thank you as well! We’re listening (as you'll see down below), and we want the next major update to make Tinkerlands feel stronger, smoother, and much more fun to play.

Now, let’s look at what we’ve been working on in June.

Ship Building

Yes, ships are coming!

This month, we worked on an early version of Ship Building, which will allow players to create their own custom ship. It’s still a work in progress, but we wanted to share a quick tease of the system because sailing around the Tinkerlands in your own handmade vessel just feels right.

Ship Navigation

Alongside ship building, we’ve also been working on Ship Navigation.

For now, we’re sharing a quick look at the player navigating to the Hive Island. This is an important part of the next update, as ships will help connect new areas and make exploration feel more meaningful.

Bard Buffs

The Bard is getting more useful.

You’ll be able to receive different buffs from the Bard for a price. Some of the stronger buffs will require certain Amity thresholds, so improving your relationship with the Bard will unlock better options over time.

Be nice to musicians. Sometimes they can literally make you stronger!

Bug Net

A new tool is on the way: the Bug Net.

With it, you’ll be able to capture critters and use them to create Critter Banners. It’s a small system, but it adds another fun layer to exploration, collecting, and decorating your world.

Abandon Quest

We’ve also added the ability to abandon quests. There is one important detail: abandoned quests will still count toward the quest limit. So if an NPC has a daily quest limit, they won’t offer another quest until the next day.

This should give players more control, while still keeping quest progression balanced.

Bigger Chests

Good news for everyone whose base looks like a storage crime scene: Bigger Chests are finally coming!

These new chests will have twice the storage capacity of normal chests, giving you more room to keep resources, loot, and all those items you’re definitely going to use later. Definitely.

That’s all for June!

Thank you for staying with us, giving feedback, reporting bugs, and helping us make Tinkerlands better.

We know there’s still work to do. We also know that the next major update needs to be an important step forward and that’s exactly what we’re aiming for.

If you enjoy the game, leaving a Steam review is one of the best ways to support us right now. And if you have thoughts, suggestions, or bug reports, our Discord is always open: Join us here
