Development Update 07 - Dungeon Map and "Soulbound" items

Hello to the first update in 2026! In the past week I've added a pretty huge logic witch is a Dungeon map, no longer there will be an issue that the player gets lost in the procedurally generated level.

Hello to the first update in 2026! In the past week I've added a pretty huge logic witch is a Dungeon map, no longer there will be an issue that the player gets lost in the procedurally generated level. Aside from that I have added "Soulbound" items (name still not final) - but simply when you enter the dungeon, now you know hat are the "Entry Items" so upon death in the dungeon you know to what state your equipment inventory will revert to, and helps to distinguish what items you had, and what you have obtained during the run.

changedPrepared base for generating World Map reveal mask.
addedProperly added character location mapping to Dungeon Map. Added working Dungeon Map to combat screen as mini map.
addedAdded logic for switching between minimap and Screen Overlay map for dungeons. Updated character out of combat animation.
addedAdded new UI Assets. Changed Combat UI (added new tutorial buttons)
fixedFixed putting implants in the Retrieve machine. Turned off continuous damage (to player) after overlapping enemy. Changed dropped item location calculation. Updated Dungeon map Screen Capture (For 2D map texture)

  • Added logic for respawning enemies to dungeon rooms that were previously cleared but in smaller numbers. Added logic to enemy character to despawn if they are too far away from player character and return to object pool.

  • Optimized Enemy Spawning (moving from pool back to dungeon rooms) logic. Fixed enemy despawning when too far from player.

  • Fixed item location spawning. Cleared some access empty objects bugs (When some code tries to access a object that no longer exists in the world). Added check for not adding world map in Temple Entrance Level. Fixed items not loading to Retrieve Machine after returning from dungeon. Fixed small item compare issue.

  • Added logic for marking item equipped in Temple Entrance so that the player knows with what equipment he has entered the dungeon (Helpful while deciding what items to extract from the dungeon). Added paperdoll screen to Retrieve machine panel so that player can also extract equipped items. Added logic for quick placement of equipped items in the Retrieve machine. Added UI item border for visually marking starter equipment.

  • Added clear Soulbound items logic. Fixed missing world map object bugs.
