CHRISTMAS PLAYS GLORIA
The Chamber of Deputies is coming out with its first major update in early access, and what else could it be focused on but Christmas? (Steam was so honored by this update that it created a special sale, thank you!) So what can this new government bring you?
MAIN
Fulfilling pre-election promises. The Czech Republic will be one of the top countries in the world. The economy will flourish by -5%, salaries will grow at the rate of a cow's stomachs, the mortality rate of pensioners will increase by 27%, and bread rolls will return to a price of 50 halers. Yes, halers are back! EJCHUCHU! (Final chord from the tape recording.)
Primarily, however, various fixes. Dozens of different visual adjustments to the environment, glitches, etc.
First attempt at navigation in the environment. Political party offices have been marked out, and signs leading to the main rooms, such as the meeting hall, cemetery, cellar, etc., have been added.
Enemy difficulty balance. Politicians will appear in a classic horror movie after 5 minutes of play or after collecting the first promise = but only the first 4 politicians. With each promise, others will join in the haunting. The more promises collected, the faster the politicians can be. It is similar in Theft mode.
Game ending. Collecting the last promise activates the final state of the game. All enemies automatically chase the player, and the player must leave the Chamber through the front entrance. Theft now also features a delivery and the option to leave.
Up to 14 new items, primarily to support the Theft mode, i.e., items intended primarily for sale/loot. Items such as Cream Puffs and Semolina Flour allow you to see other items through walls and see in the dark. The current implementation is basic and will change.
Christmas atmosphere! Added Christmas stockings, hats on politicians' heads, Christmas trees, and fog with occasional snowfall.
OTHER
Perhaps the last "broken" sound has been removed. It was part of one of the ambient sounds.
A "safe zone" has been added to the cafeterias. Here, players can be safe from politicians.
Improved orientation in the basement, i.e., green lights have been added to the exits.
Politicians in the basement (except for Alice) are even slower.
Added better passage to the ceiling of the press courtyard.
Added a few new details to the environment, the main one being the completion of the Hall of State Acts.
Fixed the timer in various modes - it was sometimes permanently at zero.
In Custom Mode, politicians were not deactivated properly. Fixed.
Well, in the end, I planned a lot, and I'll leave the first work with sound and politicians' quotes for next time. At the same time, I want to focus more on specific rooms and POIs in the game so that players can't get lost so easily. I didn't manage to add the initial tutorial with a basic explanation of the game principles, but it's already in the works, and I expect to add it very soon. I would also like to add more absurd modes and game characters (and finally how to obtain them) and a game currency that players can use to buy something, but I don't know what yet, hh.
Thank you for your attention and support! I wish you pleasant gaming and a wonderful Christmas! There is no better gift (although...) than a Steam key with Snemovna.
