Rise for the Fight - Early Access changes
With 2026 just a few hours away, I would like to showcase some of the new content I've been working on that's planned for Pre-Beta 1.3, expected to release in January.
So with that said, here's a sneak peek of the new content coming to the game!
Player VS Player Playlists!
Instead of all the maps and modes being consolidated into one playlist, I have split the PvP experience into 2 playlists:
Quick Play / The core Rise for the Fight experience, with Core Game Modes and Maps. Quick Play will have Map/Mode Voting enabled, and will have a new feature enabled: Crosslist! More details below. This playlist will feature the following maps: Stadium, Pathed Pillars, Downtown, Legacy, Plaza, Bridge, and Two-Base. This playlist will feature the following modes: FFA Loadouts, King of the Hill, Juggernaut, Kill Confirmed, Pandemic, and Showdown.
Party Box / Faster Movement, Faster Guns, on Bigger Maps. Party Box will have Map/Mode Voting and Crosslist disabled. This playlist will feature the following maps: Mega City, Metro, and Colosseum. This playlist will feature the following modes: Gun Party, Gun Cycle, and Rush, (A new game mode variant coming to the game, more details below.)
Here are some details about the new content mentioned above:
- NEW MODERush / Rush is a new Kill Confirmed variant, with doubled movement, doubled fire rate, and Blunderrev / Sacred Sword starts. First to confirm 5 kills wins!
- NEW FEATURECrosslist / Crosslist is a Matchmaking feature that, when enabled, allows players to join any open room from any playlist. If no open rooms are found, a lobby will be created with the specific playlist features.
With the playlist update being implemented, there will be a new addition coming to the Player VS Player experience to help players get more familiar with the sandbox.
Fixed Gungen Machines!
Fixed Gungen Machines, as the name says, will contain fixed weapons instead of random weapons. These machines have been put on every map, and will cost 5 Upgrade Points to get a new weapon from them. However, Random Gungen machines also cost 5 Upgrade Points as well. Because of that conflict, Random Gungen machines will be 3 Upgrade Points instead of the 5 Upgrade Points they used to cost.
Alongside these changes, there's another elephant in the room that needs to be discussed, and that's loadout selection. In Pre-Beta 1.2 and older versions of the game, the only way you could change your loadout was in the main menu. Well, that all changes with Pre-Beta 1.3!
Now, you can change your loadout in the Pause Menu!
You have the choice of 5 weapons for primary, alongside the P13 Pistol as a secondary in loadout-based modes. Your loadout will be changed when you respawn.
Additionally, if you would like to try the new content coming soon, it is available right now in the playtest branch. Feedback is greatly appreciated, as always.
Happy New Years, everyone!
