Rawshire The Last Hatchling changes
DEVELOPMENT UPDATE #2:
A new alpha update is coming that is addressing a lot of the bugs and issues discovered by the Alpha testers over the last few months! Not only that but some quality of life and new features have been added to the game including a more burnable and destructive environment, a reactive HUD display, and new enemies and levels!
NEW CONTENT:
With this update there is a bunch of new content, including the new and elusive MYSTIC CAVE zone. Three new levels as well as 1 new Boss battle (The Scorpion King).
These three new levels have introduced some new Puzzles for players to solve, and some new Enemies!
**Environment reveal is coming for the Mystic Caves.
NEW ENEMIES
Scorpions: Found in the caves, these bugs mean business Drakona: These two legged lizards are quick and agile, be sure to be cautious as you travel through Rawshire!
**Character reveals are coming for both these characters within the next few weeks.
UPDATES:
For the last few months, I have been hard at working trying to address all of the issues and suggestions that the alpha testers have given me. Some of the new features and elements add a lot more depth to the game play and really start to bring Rawshire to life!
Reactive HUD (as you pick up items, level up, loose health etc. your HUD will appear accordingly in the top portion of the screen) - Burnable Vegetation (More vegetation and trees are now burnable with new fire mesh effects that add a sense of realism) - Ambient Animals can be Killed: A lot of people wanted to be able to burn or kill the butterfly's and birds that fly around the different levels of Rawshire (weird people....) so i made it happen! - Better Visual Effects (I have added new effects that occur around the main character when you perform good or evil actions, as well as when you level up. The plan will be to expand this system in the future) - Melee attacks (that's right, you can now melee attack enemies - Added strafing locomotion (see below)
There are two other new elements to the game that I wanted to highlight;
NEW ENEMY LOCK-ON MECHANIC
Inspired by games like Legend of Zelda, the main character can now lock on to enemies and strafe!
NEW PAUSE MENU
All the menus in the game will be getting a face lift (probably a few times throughout development), but the pause menu got its first big face lift in a while!
This update will launch in July!
