The demo is scheduled to be updated sometime next week.

Important Notice

  • Due to the difficulty of maintaining save file compatibility across major system changes,

  • the save management system has been migrated to a version-based structure.

  • Old save files may still function, but conflicts with the previous migration system can lead to loss of certain character data.

  • I recommend starting a new game.

As a result of this change: The Recovery Potion migration feature and The save point conversion system have been removed.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where XP values and equipped gear were overwritten with default values during loading after recent internal code changes.

  • Fixed a bug where villagers spawned by the Soulbinder could respawn after resting.

  • Fixed an issue where the dragon encounter event was not resetting properly.

  • Fixed an issue where frame rate settings were not saved properly.

  • Fixed a bug where the Texture Streaming Pool size setting was not saved correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where the Harvester would remain in the world after the player died to it.

System Changes

Ability System Refactor

  • Previous: A single instance of each ability was reused.

    • This made abilities with input buffering or chaining extremely difficult to manage

  • NowSpecific abilities will create a new instance each time they are used.

To support this change:

  • Fixed threading issues caused by input competition during ability chaining.

  • Input effects on the player are now more strictly enforced.

    • e.g., SP regeneration only begins after an ability fully completes.

  • To balance thisSome SP costs have been slightly reduced.

Combat Changes

  • Players can now chain between light and heavy attacks freely.

  • Previously: Light Dash → only Light Attack

  • Now: Light Dash → Light or Heavy Attack

  • Removed restrictions that prevented chaining near the end of light/heavy attack animations.

  • Extended the input window for chaining.

  • As a result, dodge chaining now triggers on button release instead of press.

  • If an input is received during the valid chaining window, it now triggers immediately, without waiting for the window to end.

    • Previously, only dodge chaining triggered immediately.

  • Because chaining is now more responsive and combat speed has increased, damage values have been adjusted for balance.

  • You can now change direction during specific frames of light/heavy attacks.

  • It is now possible to unequip your current Spirit (weapon).

Progression

  • Level-up XP table has been adjusted.

  • XP rewards for certain monsters have been updated.

Miscellaneous Changes

  • Cleaned up internal tag usage logic.

  • AI no longer detects the player during executions.

  • Some abilities used by the Goblin Battle Mage now track the player more accurately.

  • Reduced the frequency of grotesque hair stretching bugs on villagers (groom asset issue).

  • The Soulbinder is now invincible for 5 seconds after spawning.

  • Added new attack patterns to The Harvester.

  • Dragon breath damage has been reduced.

  • Items can no longer be used while in a death state.

New Ability: Return of the Wraith

  • Fires a slow-moving skull at a target.

  • On hit, it deals damage and returns to the player.

  • When it touches the player, it restores health.

New Item

Mark of the Wraith

  • On hit, leaves a mark with a chance to deal damage based on the target’s max HP over a set duration.

  • Against bosses, the effect is reduced to one-third.

  • Enemies killed by this damage drop an additional 20% souls.

Spirit of Reaper

  • Obtainable in the final portion of current playable content.

  • Uses a unique Reaper-style animation set with wide scythe swings.

  • Deals 50% physical / 50% magical damage.

  • Has a wide attack range, but long end-lag after attacks.

Known Issues

  • The state of the gate to the reservoir area is not saved correctly.

  • The key remains in your inventory, so you can reopen the gate manually.

  • This will be addressed in the next update.

Since I also need to cover living expenses, future updates may take longer than usual. Thanks for your understanding, and I'm sorry for the delay.
