Update v5.11.8
Today's update has a bunch of features and fixes but I want to talk about a major breakthrough in development. For years now, we've been struggling to find the cause, but we've been experiencing a loss in performance in our server logic processing. Even though things were smooth for most people, we noticed a drastic drop in performance for awhile now - longer than most of you even started playing.

This is an explanation of the timeline of events in this years long search for the problem. The issue eventually stemmed from how we were handling NPCs, NPC pathfinding, Summons etc. Which is why we had to go back and improve these systems.
There's a lot more that goes into the system level work than meets the eye!
While throughout this entire ordeal, people only really noticed a drastic performance drop in the initial wave of performance issues, the fact that it was all the way down to even lower than that for Steam launch meant that most people grew accustomed to the performance degradation, as it happened over time after. Hopefully the sudden positive impact in server performance now is noticeable like it was when it was suddenly impacted negatively in 2023.

Maps now support up to 100 NPCs at once We've increased how many fixed NPC slots a map can have from 50 to 100. This isn't including dynamic NPCs which theoretically means all maps can currently have infinite NPCs. But those are for summons and escorts - this is for wandering NPCs and Mobs that are always there.
Team Tournaments (2v2, 3v3) Team Colors
Players now are colored Red/Blue, similar to CTF and TDM teams, when they are in a tournament match.
Hidden Projectiles
We can now make projectiles completely invisible outside of Sensory Range and slowly fade in as it enters a player's sensory range. This system can and will be used in the future for Genjutsu and more - but for now, it's for Hidden Explosive Tag Technique.
(Devs) Improved Item Cooldowns Previously, some item types had a fixed 3 second cooldown, while others had none. We can now give any item variable cooldowns. Existing item cooldowns remain at 3 seconds. This was added so we can prevent Battle Pills spamming and Milk spamming and make stronger Ninja Tools.
(Devs) Large NPC Hitboxes Improvements
We can now make NPCs that have larger hitboxes where players cannot enter their body. We also have a fancy editor with a preview for it. The easier it is for us to make content, the faster you'll get it!
Added Modifier Key Keybind for Hotkey Bar Page Fast Switching
Added Furniture Shop Preview for Furniture
Added Zoom In Animation on login
Optimizations
Optimized NPC Logic Significantly This will allow us to add way more NPCs. Nin Online's server already supported an absurd amount of NPCs logic processing before, but we've made it even more optimal so we can confidently add more.

Depending on your name, I might not have been able to use it. In most cases, I used Katakana modified names of yours. But this is my way to let players live on in the world long after they've played. If you dress stylishly, the chance of you getting an NPC is higher!

Hidden Explosive Tag Technique is now invisible outside of Sensory Range
Seismic Dash Technique knockback added back

Leaping Changes
Leap arc preview is now followed more accurately
It now goes in an arc shape instead of to the max distance and then falling

Reworked Leap to aim to ground of target tile and not mid-air if the tile you will land on is lower than you
Removed Leaping while falling
Leap indicator is hidden while mid-air and releasing it does nothing.

Improved NPC Hopping onto Platform Animation to be more smooth They now hop onto platforms without jitter
Improved Hair Colors to be more accurate to the Color chosen in the Hair Dye menu Everyone sent new, single-use, hair dyes to fix their hair colors if needed!
Jutsu Cooldowns now reset before Tournament Matches start
Prevent Multiple Logins from the same Steam account
Emoticons now scale to the Zoom level They would appear too tiny when you are zoomed in, making it hard to make out.
Single-use Hair Dye no longer consumes until you pick a hair color
Improved consistency of palettes of some equipment (Thanks Luhan)
