New Frontier remains in preparation. NF-specific rules listed below do not change existing S0 gameplay rules.

New Frontier Preparation

  • Dead Space planets in NF receive +35% regular resource production and +60% rare-resource production.

  • Dead Space mining, anomaly exploration, wormholes, and pirate attacks must depart from a Dead Space planet.

  • Outposts may still mine Dead Space fields.

  • Players can configure a daily 8-hour protection window for their Dead Space planets.

  • Protection schedule changes activate after 24 hours and can be adjusted once every seven days.

  • Dead Space planets do not enter normal shield reinforcement after attacks.

  • Only one economic building can be placed under PvP pressure at a time.

  • Damaged economic buildings have a 24-hour repair window before a later successful attack can remove a level.

  • Starting repairs before the deadline protects the building level.

  • AI Officer evacuation in NF is limited to Scatter.

  • Mission windows now clearly show which Dead Space colonies are valid departure points.

  • Combat reports explain when an attack was blocked by the Dead Space protection window.

New Commander Experience

  • New commanders can now choose their starting homeworld type:

    • Terra: +50% population capacity and doubled Bio Complex output.

    • Rocky: +30% ore and +20% silicate production.

    • Crystalline: +50% silicate production.

  • New homeworlds are placed only in areas with several nearby systems, reducing isolated and inconvenient starting positions.

New Directives And Story

  • Added a new six-part science directive chain after the first recovered-freighter mining mission.

  • The chain includes drone flights, signal analysis, a neighboring-system survey, and dismantling an abandoned mining outpost.

  • Some directive research steps now temporarily reserve real planetary energy.

  • Added clearer requirements, progress states, timers, advisor messages, and rewards.

  • Reworked Doctor Voss’s Project Ark message after constructing a level 15 laboratory.

  • New directive and advisor content has been added to all supported languages.

Multi-Universe Support

  • Different universes can now remain open simultaneously in separate tabs, browsers, Steam, or native apps without overwriting each other’s sessions.

  • Added a dedicated Return to Lobby action that does not log the player out.

  • Added Log out everywhere to revoke all active browser and app sessions.

  • Improved authentication recovery and universe switching.

Mobile And Native Improvements

  • Improved top navigation and sidebar behavior on phones and tablets.

  • The expanded resource panel now closes automatically after changing pages.

  • The sound controls now fit smaller screens and scroll correctly.

  • Improved mobile lobby, profile, homeworld selection, and menu layouts.

  • Native external links now behave consistently across Android and iOS.

  • Added the foundation for the future iOS version, including native sign-in, push notifications, and App Store purchase support. The iOS app is not publicly available yet.

Fleet, Combat And General Fixes

  • Fleets scheduled to return before an incoming battle are now restored before combat begins, even when mission processing is delayed.

  • Prevented the same fleet return from being processed simultaneously more than once.

  • Improved consistency of returned ships, cargo, reports, and mission completion.

  • Combat reports now display damage actually dealt instead of theoretical attack output.

  • Improved building repair reliability when repairs and PvP damage occur close together.

  • Fixed temporary energy reservations interacting incorrectly with production bonuses.

  • Improved source-colony selection across mining, surveys, anomalies, salvage, wormholes, and pirate missions.

  • Added clearer unavailable-state information for universe-specific AI Officer actions.

  • Various interface, session, report, and mobile usability fixes.
