Finally... For the past seven months, I’ve been balancing university work with the development on this update. Now that university is finally done, I've been able to pour all my focus into finishing this update.

The old foundation just wasn't expandable enough, but these new improvements pave the way for much bigger things.Starting with this update, where I have fully reworked both the Church and Backrooms maps, added a whole new ability system , a new Miracle , 4 new guns , a new zombie type and MUCH MORE!

Invocations

Invocations are a brand new active ability, these essentially act as a class/role.

You can unlock invocations at Prestige Level 1 for £1000, and you can switch between them freely from the upgrades screen in the main menu.

New Miracle - Overdrive

Overdrive doubles your weapon speed, that even includes reload speed!

New Zombie Type - Spectral

Theses zombies can pass through barricades and each other.

They do not take additional damage when shot in the head, but take far more damage from weapons with a high critical damage multiplier.

Church Overhaul

The Church has had a complete overhaul and major expansion.

  • Optional Escape Ending

  • New Weapon Spawns

  • New Easter Eggs

  • Many new gameplay mechanics

  • A new modifier allowing you to start in a random room, and shuffle all weapon spawns

Backrooms Overhaul

The Backrooms has had a complete overhaul. Far more variety, new floor types, props, & new unique gameplay & zombie mechanics.

All Backrooms leaderboards have been reset.

New Weapons

Desert Eagle (Pistol)

Slightly slower than the Enfield No.2, but packs a punch, especially to the head!

Model 1887 (Shotgun)

Hard hitting and highly penetrating. Extremely effective at close range against large hoards!

It also has a unique shooting animation when akimbo are equipped!

SPAS-12 (Shotgun)

Fast fire rate and accurate. Deals huge damage to the head!

You can also press the "Weapon (special)" button, X by default, to flip up the stock.

AA-12 (Shotgun)

Extremely fast and sustained fire. Great for running and gunning!

Weapon Camo Overhaul

  • 10 brand new weapon camos.

  • Camo Unlock Popups during gameplay and Progress bar across the bottom of the player HUD.

  • Headshots now count additionally towards camo progress.

  • Overhauled Weapons Screen with categories and more details.

UI Overhaul

The Main Menu has been fully reworked.

  • You can now move around the Main Menu in First-Person to test your weapons, just press Escape.

  • The player HUD has been fully remade, displaying your health and kinetic energy on the right side, as well as a visual representation of your loaded ammo, as well as some other quality improvements.

  • Keybinds now display key and button icons instead of text.

Whole Game Rebalance

Money

Money has been rebalanced, you now received 4x the previous amount, making each zombie kill be worth exactly £1. This will make it far easier to gauge prices.

Prestige

Now when you prestige, you will retain 50% of your balance, meaning you can hold off on prestiging if you do not wish to play without Miracles, Blessings, and Invocations, as you could save up enough money pre-prestige to instantly re-purchase them all.

Weapons

Every weapon has had varying amounts of rebalance. Too many to list, check the weapons screen for their new stats.

Wave Progression

Wave progression has had a large rework, making waves longer and more significant. As time has gone on, it has become easier to fly through the waves and each wave felt very small and insignificant, being able to clear the first 25 waves in under 5 minutes pretty easily if you tried.

  • Waves contain twice as many zombies

  • Zombies per wave is no longer slightly random

  • Zombie health caps at wave 25 instead of 50

  • Zombies Move Speed scaling rebalanced, reaching higher speeds at earlier waves

  • Zombie Spawn Rate rebalanced

  • You can no longer receive the same wave type back to back

Burning Zombies

  • The burn effect applied to the player now lasts twice as long.

  • The player can now slide to instantly extinguish themselves.

Miracles

  • Miracles are 50% rarer, but last 50% longer.

Ruction

  • Starter weapons can now destroy "Cracked Walls"

Chronopulse

  • Chronopulse now slows time when you are aiming down sights

Monotome

  • Monotome increases your penetration by 50%, upped from 20%

  • You can now switch between Akimbo and Monotome weapons at wallbuys

  • Monotome powered weapons have a unique firing sound

Gore Overhaul

Blood VFX has been overhauled and when a Zombie's head is destroyed, its blood will spray onto and drip from the ceiling.

Your weapons will now become bloody when killing zombies at close range.

In Other News...

  • In multiplayer, when making purchases that benefit the group, such as opening zones, you can now "chip-in" if you can't fully afford it, allowing the team to collectively pay to access new zones.

  • You can now play with up to 8 people in multiplayer, though I don't recommend it as the game balance might get a bit crazy, but its there for the people who want it.

  • Leaderboards are no longer split into team sizes, they all share the same board

  • The 3 crowns are now unlocked at different prestige levels, instead of leaderboard rank

  • Added some new achievements, and deleted some that I thought to be filler.

  • Bottomless Clip has been renamed to Infinity

  • Bullet holes now glow if shot with a miracle active

  • Overhauled blood and gore from zombies. Weapons become bloody and blood drips from the ceiling.

  • Zombies have many new animations

  • Some zombies can spawn crawling on their hands and feet

  • Zombies will no longer spawn >50m away from the player. Removed the Closer Spawning Modifier.

  • Zombies will speed up significantly when >25m from the player

  • The glow sprite on miracles now renders behind the miracle object, preventing the object from clipping through the sprite

  • Added a new burning VFX to the player when they're on fire.

  • Added a new smoke VFX when the player or zombies are extinguished.

  • Loads of other stuff.

If you find any bugs, please report them on the Nasty Zombies discord server so I can fix them ASAP!
