A major update in preparation for Steam Next Fest (we’ll be there!) and a live stream on the GDTK channel happening tonight!
Here’s what’s new:
New Features
New fire animation (triggered when using Dash lv2 or applying burn to enemies)
New boss attack warning system: depending on the attack being prepared, a red arrow and sound cue will indicate its direction
New upgrade: Building Pressure — grants bonus effect damage for each missed basic attack. Unlock it by completing a challenge
New in-game background! Starting from wave 7, the scenery changes
New original soundtrack by Pedro Otávio, playing during the first six waves
New Blessings system: when visiting the shrine, you can choose one of three options. Each blessing grants a permanent stat bonus for the rest of the run
Improvements
Updated visuals for several upgrade icons
Added subtle hover animation to most interactive UI buttons
New visual effects for lv2 and lv3 upgrades when they appear in the shop
Balance Changes
Buffs to Blade Monk:
New starting upgrade: Building Pressure
Increased effect damage scaling throughout the run
Coincurse now scales with special cooldown
Submerge now scales with HP regeneration
Violent Healing now scales with lifesteal
Bug Fixes
Fixed text formatting issues when playing in Chinese
Fixed bug allowing Gigantism to be used during Submerge
Fixed an issue where the mouse cursor could disappear in unintended situations (such as at the end of waves)
Fixed burn visual effects persisting after the effect had ended
Fixed an issue where the boss could become invisible during rage transition when blackout effects were active
