Medieval Frontiers changes
100,000 WISHLSITS! 🛡️ A Massive Milestone for Medieval Frontiers
Survivors, we are absolutely blown away.
Today, we reached a goal that felt like a distant dream when we first started coding: 100,000 of you have added Medieval Frontiers to your Steam Wishlists!
From the bottom of our hearts at Active Fungus Studios— Thank You. Whether you’ve been with us since the first screenshot or just joined the frontier today, your support is what keeps our hammers swinging and our code running.
Why 100k Matters
For an indie team, this isn't just a number. It’s a signal that there’s a hunger for a deeper, more immersive medieval experience. Our Producer, Jakob Braun, put it best:"Our goal is to combine the complexity of colony sims like Rimworld with the immersion of a first-person adventure."Knowing 100,000 of you are waiting to step into the valley gives us the fuel we need as we head into the final stages of development.
What’s Waiting for You on the Frontier?
In case you’re new here, or just need a refresher on what we’re building, here’s a look at the pillars of Medieval Frontiers:
👥 Deep Social Simulation: Your 20 NPCs aren't just "units." They have voices, traits, and complex needs. If they aren't happy or rested, your village won't prosper.
🌡️ The Resilience System: Forget simple health bars. You’ll need to manage your "Resilience" against cold, hunger, and pests. If your resilience is low at the end of the day, you might wake up sick—better keep those herbal teas ready!
🛠️ Functional Building: We don't believe in "magic" buildings. A house only becomes a Bakery because you put the oven in it. Every decoration—like an anvil or a specific shelf—provides a functional buff to the room's efficiency.
🌲 Survival on Your Terms: Whether you want a brutal fight against the elements or a "Cozy" experience focused on building, we’ve got difficulty settings to match your playstyle.
What’s Next?
We are still on track for our Q2 2026 release. We’re currently polishing the exploration mechanics and making sure those "insect-rich swamps" are just the right amount of dangerous.
Keep those Wishlists coming! It helps us immensely with Steam's visibility and ensures you won't miss our upcoming gameplay deep-dives.
See you in the valley,
— The Active Fungus Team
