Mad Metal changes
The Mad Metal Demo is finally here!
New vehicles - Buggy: light class with jetpacks - Vigilante: heavy class with grapple - Phoenix: medium class flame arson - Pipe Dreamer: medium class 360-degree artillery gunner
New components:
- Pipe Dreamer's Kit: a full-body heavy armor kits
- Horned Basher: front-guard with great reach
Augment System: - Choose from powerful augments that alter each playthrough - Find hidden augments scattered around each map
Performance changes - Adaptative DLSS - FPS target raised from 60fps to 120fps
Balance updates: - Increased avg damage, firerate, and health
New Demo progression system - Designed to unlock everything within 30-40 minutes of playtime
Paint: - Players can now change materials and apply paints to their vehicle. - Temporarily removed painting of individual parts.
Minimap: - Increased minimap size. - Correctly displays real-world coordinates of the map. - Player and Enemy icons are now displayed above other icons. - Enemy icons correctly align with the corresponding vehicle's forward direction.
Tutorial: - Players can now retry the distance score challenge.
New York City (level): - Each enemy now has a unique weapon loadout. - Environmental props have been reworked to prevent getting stuck under the vehicles and impeding their movement. - Temporarily removed highly obstructive environmental props. - Reduced memory requirements.
Grand Canyon (level): - Removed some ground rock formations to prevent vehicles from getting stuck.
AI Enemies: - AI is now better at avoiding obstacles. - AI will no longer pursue or fire at targets when their line of sight is obstructed.
Time To Kill: - TTK has been doubled for all vehicles (avg. HP increased from 100 to 200). - Vehicles that previously had 2 primary weapons now have 1 primary weapon (this is to facilitate weapon rebalancing and prevent high-powered weapons from being abused on some vehicles).
Weapons: - Added muzzle flash effects to all weapons.
Vulcan (Gatling): - Fire rate increased from 15RPS to 50RPS. - Audio changed to replicate a real gatling gun and to be less obtrusive with the new fire rate.
Solo Gun:
- Increased damage from 15 to 20.
- Increased projectile velocity from 200 to 300.
Decreased size of impact and heat distortion effects by 50%.
Sniper:
- Increased damage from 25 to 45.
- Increased burnout rate from 25 to 55.
Shot Gun:
- Increased damage from 1x20 to 2x20.
- Decreased burnout rate from 30 to 26.
Seeker:
- Increased damage from 7.5 to 20.
- Increased burnout rate from 10 to 20.
- Decreased trail effects by 50%.
Rail Gun:
- Increased damage from 4 to 10.
- Increased firerate from 2RPS to 4RPS.
- Decreased burnout rate from 15 to 10.
Loading Screen: - Added helpful information about hotkeys and weapon mechanics.
Bug: - Fixed a bug that caused the vehicle to play unexpected crash sounds. - Fixed a bug that prevented audio settings from affecting vehicle sounds. - Fixed a bug that locked the third person camera. - Fixed a bug that prevented the police vehicles from using their passive ability.
