Despite the sweltering summer heat, we know many of you have been waiting for our July devlog, so let’s get right into the latest progress update.

1. Chapter 4 Progress

  • Script additions and revisions (90%) New!

  • Programming (75%) New!

  • Art resources (98%) New!

We found that one of Chapter 4’s major routes contained sections that conflicted with other routes or did not complement them properly, so we reorganized parts of the script.

Most of the changes involve relatively minor lines of dialogue, but to provide a more immersive experience, we reviewed and revised the dialogue throughout each route.

Programming has continued steadily alongside these revisions, and the art resources are now nearly complete. All of the planned images, including event CGs, ending CGs, and investigation objects, have been finished. Some minor resources may still be revised or added during the final review after programming is complete.

2. Plans for August 2026

  • Outsource the Chinese and Japanese script translations

  • Begin the English script translation

  • Complete Chapter 4 programming

  • Begin debugging Chapters 3 and 4

  • Complete all art resources

Unfortunately, unlike our previous plan, the overall script underwent additional revisions from mid-to-late July, which prevented us from sending it out for translation on schedule.

Our first priority in August will therefore be to finalize the script as quickly as possible, send it out for translation, and begin working on the English version. After that, our goal is to finish the programming, for which the foundation is already in place, and then move into full-scale debugging.

As Kill The Clock is a text-heavy game, whenever we notice even a small issue in the script, we find ourselves revising or adding to it, which can slow down development. Still, there is not much left to complete, and these changes are being made to improve the game’s overall quality, so we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you, as always!
