Repeated intro
Hello! This is Happy Slugs, the development team behind Kill The Clock.
What changed
- Events
- UI and audio
- Balance
- Gameplay
The weather is finally getting warmer. With spring now here, let’s get right into our March devlog.
1. New Update
Replaced 1 ending CG in Chapter 1
Replaced 3 ending CGs in Chapter 2
Added 1 event CG to the daytime section of 10/16 in Chapter 1
Improved parts of the menu UI
Adjusted balance for some dice mechanics
Improved save/load behavior in certain sections
Adjusted battle stat balance for some NPCs
These updates have been applied in version 0.6.12.
2. Chapter 4 Progress
- Scenario / Script Work
Overall story flow and major plot structure (Completed)
Scene-by-scene development, dialogue flow, and branching structure planning (Completed)
Dialogue and direction writing (40%) 🆕
Script implementation into the game (0%)
- Art Resources (40%) 🆕
As mentioned in the previous devlog, March was mainly focused on writing Chapter 4’s script and replacing/adding existing CGs. However, we found that some parts of Chapter 4’s script conflicted with Chapter 3. Because of this, we had to spend additional time reworking and reviewing some sections of Chapter 3 that had already been completed.
3. Plans for April
Debug Chapter 3
Continue writing Chapter 4’s script
Continue working on Chapter 4 art resources
Begin Chapter 4 programming
Now that the conflicting parts of the setting and story have been sorted out, our top priority is to move forward with the script as quickly as possible. Our plan is to complete Chapter 4’s script, and while the corresponding art resources are being produced, begin programming work in parallel.
Even if progress is not always as fast as we hope, your support continues to keep us moving steadily toward our goal. Thank you to everyone who believes in us and patiently waits for Kill The Clock. We’ll see you again in the next devlog.
Have a wonderful day!
