Fishing Shop Simulator changes
Hi everybody! I've been pretty busy working on the game, but haven't been updating the demo too much this month because a lot of the work is post-demo content. However there's been enough progress and the current build seems stable enough to get out to the demo for you guys!
A bit of early wildlife work is now functioning in world, you'll see ducks, frogs, crabs wandering around bodies of water. Obviously I want more animals, but we'll slowly get there Steam post image
The sparky grave got a bit of a update now that its interactable/readable
Reading/Dialogue mechanic is now working! You can try it out on the old grave in the ocean biome
New - Wildlife Simulation - You will now see Ducks, Frogs and Crabs spawning in certain parts of the world!
New/Change - Timer UI now displays more detailed time so you know when the hour is going to change
New - Timer UI now displays how many days it's been in your game in total
New - Timer UI now displays the current days weather
New - Reading/dialogue mechanic fully working - You can now left click to instantly make the dialogue typing complete, and the system can give you multiple messages to flip through
New - Ocean Biome - Sparkys grave has been updated with the new reading mechanic to try it out properly
New - Optimization for lower end users - Did some work on getting some better optimization work for the game, specifically when you change the games quality settings to lower, for lower end PC users
Change - Video settings now restricted to 16:9 ratio options, so that the game dosen't get wierd stretching or broken look on wide screens
Change - Major rebalance to the difficulty of rent for later game, early game should feel somewhat the same. Shop 3 and beyond get signifigant more rent costs. Keep me posted on this!
Change - Tutorial made less in-your-face and no longer pops up on a new game, instead you'll see glowing prompt to start tutorial
Change - Bubbles will dissapear after being hit 15 times
Change - Tutorial for leading the player to opening packs
Change - Beds just activate by hitting E, instead of holding E
Change - Replaced hidden ponds low-tier catches from Carps, to Sardines
Change - Vacuum Pickup - Objects that you'll be grabbing wiggle while the vacuum pickup is happening
Change - Bait UI has a bit more clear wording so people get less confused trying out the game
Change - Video settings improved to restrict super low resolution, to prevent first-time installs being super blurry
Change - Video settings have a emergency 'reset' option for the first 15 seconds of starting the game, L Shift + 1 will reset it to windowed and 720P
Bug Fix - hitting E while in front of console while the bait menu was open, would create a soft-lock
Bug Fix - Empty collider area near the right of the main doors of parliament
Bug Fix - Being able to pick up or use vacuum pickup while the game was paused
Bug Fix- Dog no longer blocks building objects in your store
Bug Fix - Floating lights in town level 2 fixed up
