Patch 1.0.8 is now live!
New Comeback Feature:
Whenever a player reaches a research station, he will get an extra life, as long as he has less than three extra lives and creature lives.
The lab header now shows you how many extra lives and creature lives you have (This header will also be added to all other scenes in order for that information to always be visible).
My goal with this change was to increase the average depth that players reach, since I think it is always more fun if a build can come together during a longer run. I wanted, however, to still have the early game feel important so that early game builds do not lose their place, and that there is still a healthy variety of creatures on the early depths.
New Cores!
Three new cores have been added to NICAOS!
Patience: Only enter the battlefield and start using actions after the first state is over. Enter the battlefield at a random position. Wait for an additional state for each additional Patience core.
Iron Muscles: Reduce all damage taken from non-ENERGY actions by an amount equal to your strength. Whenever this effect reduces damage, lose 1 strength.
Pollution: At the start of combat, both creatures gain poison stacks equal to 50% of their health (rounded up).
Like the newly added actions, these cores will be part of planet 5 once it releases and will also join the pool of cores for NICAOS. These cores are still subject to change and could even get changes during this month, if necessary. They are also still missing some visual effects and sounds, which will be added with the next patch.
Have fun playing and let me know what you think of these changes!
