This patch fixes a crash, balances a bunch of things better, improves multiplayer some, and fixes a ton of other minor issues.

0.902 change list:

  • fixed a rare out of bounds issue in animation system (rare crash)

  • increased base monster damage from 1.5/2.5 to 1.75/2.75

  • increased base monster damage per level from 0.4/0.9 to 0.5/1.0

  • now offensive monster skills need to be able to see target (Faya AOP)

  • fixed losing game suddenly if 2nd player in multiplayer game leaves and no town NPCs

  • now monster level of dungeons get a 2 level boost

  • added Exploding Jars

  • added Poison Jars

  • now major fire imbued monsters release lava on death

  • now higher level recipes for house deeds so don't need stone (su-su-supernova)

  • now wampirs use hit and run tactics

  • now wampirs turn twice as fast

  • increased SpawnChance for ObjectAltar by 50% (Nailclippins)

  • now different liquids help or hurt growth of nearby plants (really just trees)

  • now very small chance destroying a block with a pickaxe (either kind) will drop a random ore/gem

  • changed minor/normal/major poison imbues to release different amounts of poison gas on monster death

  • decreased Scarabus death attack range from 150 to 125

  • fixed ring vendors (they now indeed actually have rings for sale)

  • added an art vendor (sells paintings)

  • increased price of paintings from 50 to 500 (will really be higher because of inflation)

  • now a rescued NPC that moves to town so they can be recruited can no longer be a vendor

  • Arcane Essence can no longer add a socket since that's what Alteration Shards do (wrestless/ulyssessword)

  • halved skeleton key drop rate

  • added berserker support bonus

  • added resistances support bonus to vortars

  • added quick support bonus to evil leprechauns & mutantlords

  • added ambush support bonus to scree

  • added warrior support bonus to furies

  • added beast support bonus to scavengers

  • added poison support bonus to zombie broods

  • added deadly aim support bonus to savagelords

  • added berserker support bonus to dark orc berserker, frenzy, and zombie frenzy

  • now show on main game screen how many support quests the nemesis and arch-nemesis have

  • acid (and other environmental damages) no longer uses your own critical hit/crushing blow numbers against you (ulyssessword)

  • added a few recruitable NPCs that can use plate armor

  • fixed jewelers not having anything for sale often (Wraith_Magus)

  • added some monster damage reduction per each extra player in multiplayer (MonsterHealthIncreasePerExtraPlayer 0.2)

  • skeleton archers now try to stay further away from target

  • now skeleton archer arrows have a little bit of an arc instead of a straight shot

  • increased StatChangeDisarmTrap in SkillTrapMastery from 2/2 to 4/4

  • increased StatChangeDisarmTrap in SkillDangerSense from 5/5 to 7/7 (Wraith_Magus)

  • increased StatChangeDisarmTrap in SkillDisarmTrap from 7/7 to 10/10

  • increased SkillDangerSense StatInflation from 0.04 to 0.05

  • you can now get crafting mult down to 40% (instead of 50%) with more appropriate NPC crafters (su-su-supernova)

  • you can now get diplomat negative diplomacy mult down to 40% (instead of 50%) with more appropriate NPC diplomats

  • now unstable chambers have more support beams and less magical explosion traps

  • orb of fortune no longer removes level requirement

  • health potion, mana potion, and bandage duration no longer buffed with Status Effect Duration (too powerful)

  • made objects a little less likely to slide when initially spawned in

  • now highlighting multiplayer icon on game screen tells you quest increase speed and monster damage reduction

  • now highlighting multiplayer icon on game screen tells you server name

  • results from quest location search can no longer be out of bounds

  • added new lifestone low level sound (75%/50%/25%/10%)

  • fixed NPC equipment lock not working (Wraith_Magus)

  • added more variation in fire explosion sound (2 new sounds and more pitch variation)

  • acid (and other environmental damages) no longer uses your weapon hit sounds

  • now player pain/incoming hit sounds are quieter if damage is under 5% of max health (just for player) (KevinC)

  • moved player multiplayer health on game screen around a little so could fit another 2 in there

  • now can upgrade chests with materials that are in nearby chests (desophos)

  • fixed evil altars not being lit properly (and a few others that may or may not being used)

  • now shrink (from traps) can stack

  • added a new monster taunt

  • now EnhancementFireImbued1NoPrefixSuffix has an effect so can see fire that might damage (but no sound since can be a lot of them)

  • changed icon for WorldModifierSlowPace & WorldModifierVerySlowPace to match what they are better

  • fixed getting message that now have support from ! (blank supporter)

  • changed bad house message a little

  • added next help topic button

  • rewrote Thaden god text a little (wrestless)

  • changed armor melt effect to not be additive so wouldn't mess up a few other effects

  • added new jewelry landing/dropping sound

  • improved earthquake explosion effect a little

  • fixed shadow on block item pickups message

  • made some of the items on ground bigger (Voidbearer)

  • now can specify volume mult on server sounds

  • changed PROTOCOL_VERSION to 164
