This update delivers a solid round of polish focused on performance, stability, and making key gameplay systems easier to understand.

Performance & Memory Improvements

  • Improved mipmap streaming behavior for more efficient texture loading.

  • Reduced VRAM usage to help improve stability and performance, especially during longer play sessions.

  • Added further general performance optimizations to improve runtime efficiency across the game.

Improved Onboarding

  • Added a new in-game tutorial flow for the DNA Sequence screen.

  • Improved onboarding for the DNA sequencing system so players can better understand its core interactions and features.

  • The new tutorial now explains sequence editing, replacement, saving, and related virus-development systems more clearly within the gameplay flow.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where zombies killed during fight sequences could remain visibly standing in an unrelated location instead of being properly removed from the scene.

  • Fixed a problem where zombies exiting capsules near walls, furniture, or other obstructed areas could become stuck.

  • Zombies that would otherwise end up in invalid positions are now moved to the nearest valid NavMesh location to prevent broken behavior and soft-lock scenarios.

  • Fixed cases where a zombie getting stuck outside its capsule could block interactions and halt progression.

Overall

This update is aimed at making the experience smoother, clearer, and more reliable, with better performance, improved onboarding, and fixes for several gameplay-disrupting issues reported during real play sessions.
