Hello, Scientists, To celebrate our new 20% discount, which will run until June 15, we are releasing a new update focused on infection balance, clearer experiment feedback, and new tutorial support for Assistant and Experiment Logs systems. Improvements Slower Infection Growth Player infection now increases more slowly. The infection growth rate has been reduced by 20%, giving players more time to react, craft vaccines, and manage infection pressure during a run. This should make infection progression feel less punishing, especially during the early and mid-game. Improved Experiment Logs Feedback Experiment Logs feedback has been rewritten to be clearer and more natural. Failed experiment feedback should now give more readable guidance without directly revealing the correct classification or exact solution. The goal is to keep the puzzle feeling intact while making it easier to understand what direction your next attempt should take. Better Comparison Between Attempts Experiment Logs can now give better feedback based on your previous attempt. This should help players understand whether a new blueprint attempt is getting closer to a useful result, becoming more stable, or moving in the wrong direction. This change should make repeated testing feel more meaningful and less random. New Assistant Tutorial A new Assistant tutorial flow has been added. This tutorial helps explain how assistant-related systems work and can be reopened with F1 from the related screen. New Experiment Logs Tutorial A new Experiment Logs tutorial flow has been added. This explains how to read experiment feedback and use the logs to improve future blueprint attempts. It can also be reopened with F1 from the related screen. Fixes Assistant Zombie Fight Fixes Fixed several issues related to assistant behavior during zombie fight sequences. Assistants should now handle fight cleanup and pathfinding more reliably after combat-related actions. Assistant Pathfinding Stability Improved assistant pathfinding recovery in cases where an assistant could get into an invalid movement state. This should reduce cases where assistants fail to continue their task correctly after movement interruptions or combat-related behavior. Closing This update is mainly focused on making infection pressure more manageable, improving experiment feedback, and helping players better understand Assistant and Experiment Logs systems. More tutorial improvements, laboratory automation updates, visual polish, and gameplay clarity refinements are still in progress.
