Dark Light: Survivor changes
Hi Everyone,
We have just released a major update.
This patch focuses on Steam Deck support, UI readability, weapon feel, balance changes, and bug fixes. Thanks again for all the feedback and support.
Steam Deck support is now in. The game is currently running around 30 to 40 FPS depending on the area and settings. We have added preset settings for Steam Deck, redesigned many UI panels, and increased text size so the game is easier to read on the Deck screen.
We will submit the game to Steam for Deck review soon. Optimization is still ongoing, and we will keep improving performance in future updates.
Steam Deck Improvements
Enlarged text for better Steam Deck readability.
Redesigned skill and loot panels to better support longer text.
Added FSR support for Steam Deck.
Added a dedicated Steam Deck settings panel with Deck-specific options.
Reduced grass density on the forest map to improve Steam Deck performance.
Adjusted Steam Deck Low shadow settings and reduced shadow distance to 25.
Gameplay and Balance
The default Auto Attack setting is now set to Ranged Only. You can change this in Options to match your playstyle.
Adjusted equipment drop rates.
Increased shotgun bullet speed to 150.
Increased magic staff fireball speed from 12 to 20.
For the Mage, Flame Volley will now appear in the first two class skill choices.
UI Improvements
Moved the Curse Totem display above the health bar so it is easier to see. This should help prevent deaths caused by missing the curse warning.
Updated the three-choice skill selection panel UI.
Updated the equipment comparison UI. It now compares with your last used weapon, and you can switch weapons during loot selection to compare them.
Improved the weapon, armor, artifact, inventory, skill select, item unlock, difficulty select, map select, NPC dialogue, and Game End panel UI.
Updated some fonts and increased text size for better readability.
Updated skill descriptions and cleaned up some God dialogue text.
The Settings reset button now also resets UI settings.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the revive totem and strength totem UI images being swapped.
Fixed Void Stone text not being translated on the Game End panel.
Fixed an issue where player armor health values could display incorrectly.
Fixed a bug where Pixel Mode could hide the character selection screen.
Fixed auto aim not targeting the Razorbound Shade correctly.
Fixed a serious stutter issue when opening UI settings from the in-game settings menu.
When picking up a ranged weapon, the comparison now prioritizes the previously used ranged weapon.
Added a glow effect to summoned skeletons for better visibility.
Thanks for your support!
Best,
Mirari
