changedOver the past few weeks, we have been working hard to improve the handheld experience, including better UI readability, controller support, performance optimization, and Steam Deck friendly visual settings.
changedFor Steam Deck players, we recommend using the Optimized visual preset:
changedWith these settings, the game generally runs around 40 FPS on Steam Deck, depending on the map, enemy density, visual effects, and combat intensity.
changedTo help performance, Grass Quality is set to 0 by default on the Steam Deck optimized preset. If you prefer to see grass in the environment, you can turn Grass Quality up to 50 in the Visuals menu. This may have minor impact on FPS, but it will make the world feel more alive.

Hi Everyone,

We are excited to announce that Dark Light: Survivor is now officially Steam Deck Verified!

This means the game has passed Valve’s Steam Deck compatibility review and is now ready to play on Steam Deck.

Over the past few weeks, we have been working hard to improve the handheld experience, including better UI readability, controller support, performance optimization, and Steam Deck friendly visual settings.

For Steam Deck players, we recommend using the Optimized visual preset:

  • Resolution: 1280x800

  • Frame Rate: 40

  • Texture Quality: Low

  • Shadow Quality: Low

  • FSR3: On

  • FSR3 Quality: Medium

  • Motion Blur: Off

With these settings, the game generally runs around 40 FPS on Steam Deck, depending on the map, enemy density, visual effects, and combat intensity.

To help performance, Grass Quality is set to 0 by default on the Steam Deck optimized preset. If you prefer to see grass in the environment, you can turn Grass Quality up to 50 in the Visuals menu. This may have minor impact on FPS, but it will make the world feel more alive.

Dark Light: Survivor is a fast paced action roguelike with ARPG loot, dark sci-fi atmosphere, and the ability to switch between top-down and third-person combat at any time. Now, you can take the fight against the darkness anywhere on Steam Deck.

We want to thank everyone who reported issues, shared feedback, and helped us improve the game. Your support has helped us make Dark Light: Survivor better with every patch.

This is still only the beginning. We are continuing to work on new content, balance updates, map modifiers, new enemies, elite monsters, events, and more improvements for both PC and Steam Deck players.

If you are playing on Steam Deck, please let us know how the game feels. Your feedback is very valuable to us.

Thank you again for supporting Dark Light: Survivor.

Best,

Mirari
