Blood Moon Horror changes
Summary: Update 0.3 improves co-op coordination with client-side note collection and objective tracking, refines scare and presence systems, adds an FOV slider, improves flashlight clarity, and fixes key stability issues.
🧭 Co-Op & Objectives
| 🔑 Change | 🌟 Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Clients Can Collect Notes | Document progress now counts no matter who finds the note, so teams are no longer bottlenecked by the host. |
| Compass Tracks Teammates & Objectives | Splitting up and regrouping is easier—see allies and goals at a glance while keeping the team moving. |
| Extra Objective at Spawn Fixed | The phantom task that could appear at the beginning of a match has been removed. |
😱 Fear & Presence Systems
- Working Scare EffectScares no longer trigger at the beginning of a match. Timing and gating have been corrected so they land when they should.
- “Living Presence” TuningDetection range has been reduced for a cleaner signal, and nearest-presence detection now matches correctly between clients and the server.
🔦 Gear & Settings
Improved Flashlight: Better visibility and more reliable targeting in darker spaces.
Camera FOV Slider: Adjust your preferred field of view directly in-game—no INI editing required.
🛠️ Fixes & Stability
Fixed an extra objective appearing at the start of a match.
Fixed clients not registering as a “living presence” when close to another player.
Tightened the presence indicator range so it is more accurate and useful.
Addressed notes falling through the floor on clients during generation; we are continuing to monitor edge cases.
🧭 Known Issue / Next Up
Enemy AI Improvements: We are actively working on making enemies smarter, more responsive, and more threatening.
