π v0.5.0 β Passive Expansion & Sonic Overhaul
This patch is a double-down on depth: the passive tree nearly triples in size, and the game finally sounds as good as it looks. Plus two troublesome enemies got the balance pass they desperately needed.
π³ Passive Tree Expansion
96 total nodes β dozens of new chains, branching paths, and junctions to carve your own build.
12 Greater capstones (4 per branch) β apex unlocks like Apex Overload, Eternal Bastion, and Hyperspace Array.
4 Abyss Junctions β unlock all Greater nodes in a branch to claim a transcendent final node.
Signal branch rebuilt from the ground up β symmetric dual-arc topology with proper junction gates.
Cost curve normalized β further nodes always cost and reward more. No more outliers that cost like endgame for hop-1 picks.
"!" marker on every affordable, unlockable node β never miss a pick again.
Tooltip redesign β taller panel, unified"ALL PREVIOUS NODES REQUIRED"with visual emphasis.
π Sonic Overhaul
30+ new procedural SFX β all synthesized via Web Audio, zero file downloads.
Themed module sounds β Cryo, Crystal, Electric, Melee, Plasma, Toxic, Void, Reflect, and Buff abilities now have distinct audio fingerprints.
Combat feedback β boss death, shield absorb, shield break, dash, crit hit, evasion proc, enemy death β every action now lands with a sound.
UI & progression audio β evolution confirm, artifact toggle, core spend/refund, scene transition, pause, achievement, wave complete, low-HP warning.
Anti-spam mixer β per-sound cooldowns and a 12-voice cap keep hectic waves from turning into chaos.
βοΈ Balance Tuning
Warp Crawler β warp distance 150 β 380px . No more unavoidable face-hugs; you can actually dodge now.
Scout Drone β slower projectiles and a proper 2-shot spread (no more gatling-style burst that shredded at range).
Signal nodes β cost/effect values smoothed across all hops.
β¨ UX Polish
Smaller, less intrusive reticle cursor.
Abyss node icons now visible; Greater nodes cleaner without icon clutter.
Branch labels unified β Attack, Defense, Utility common tags.
