v0.4.0 — Engineering Bay Renewal & Combat Balance Overhaul

⚙️ Engineering Bay Complete Renewal

You no longer collect Void Alloys to purchase permanent upgrades. Now, each time you start a mission, you distribute points as you wish in the Engineering Bay.

  • 5 Core Parts: Hull · Engine · Wings · Arsenal · Core

  • 4 Tiers per Part — Higher tiers grant stronger stat bonuses

  • 1 Point per Stage acquired → Stronger builds possible at higher stages

  • Real-time Preview — Your ship's appearance changes instantly each time you upgrade a tier (armor plates, engine flames, weapon pods, wing beams, core aura, etc.)

  • Start fresh each run → Free to experiment with builds

🚀 Ship Role Re-establishment

Focusing on a 5-ship system, we have rebalanced each ship to fit its unique characteristics.

  • Void Striker · Storm Breaker · Titan Vanguard · Shadow Reaper — Selectable from the start

  • Eclipse Wing — Unlocked upon reaching Stage 5 (Enhanced Void Striker)

Each ship's characteristics are now clearer:

ShipCharacteristics
Void StrikerBalanced — Average in all stats, beginner/standard
Storm BreakerTrue Firepower — Fast fire rate, high cumulative DPS
Titan VanguardTrue Tank — 160 HP + 15 Defense (damage reduction), slow but sturdy
Shadow ReaperExtreme Speed + Critical Hit specialization, but low HP
Eclipse WingAll-around enhanced version of Void Striker

On the ship selection screen, DEFENSE value is newly displayed, and the previously confusing "Speed" indicator has been separated into Movement Speed and Fire Rate.

🎧 You can finally adjust the volume

Master · SFX · UI · BGM — Four types can be adjusted independently:

  • Lobby: Click the ▾ AUDIO button next to the language dropdown

  • Pause Menu: The top-right AUDIO panel is always displayed

  • Smooth adjustment by dragging, settings are automatically saved and persist for the next run

🎯 Custom Targeting Cursor

Instead of the browser's default cursor, a Sci-fi Targeting Reticle operates throughout the game.

  • Basic reticle composed of a rotating crosshair + pulse ring

  • When the cursor hovers over a button, yellow corner brackets automatically indicate target lock

  • Lobby, pause, level-up cards, during combat — Works identically on all screens

⚖️ Major Balance Adjustments

⚠️ Level Up POT2 SKIP Penalty Actually Applied

Previously, we fixed a bug where"Enemy Attack +5%"message was displayed, but nothing actually happened.

  • Now, for each SKIP, enemy attack/HP actually increases by +10% (soft cap +80%)

  • The actual increase is displayed on the SKIP button, and changes to MAXED when the cap is reached

🩸 Nano Leech Nerf

  • Recovery per kill reduced by approximately 50%

  • Still a powerful sustained recovery module, but infinite safe zones are gone

  • Full heal duration: Previously ~1 second → Now 2-4 seconds (Varies by ship)

💥 Shrapnel Grenade Nerf

  • Guidance function completely removed — Even with a heat-seeking chip artifact, shrapnel no longer tracks.

  • Linger distance 1200px → 400px significantly reduced

  • No longer drifts to the other side of the screen

🧬 Void Shard (VOID_BIT) XP Drop Nerf

  • The experience points from the minions summoned by VoidCataclysm were excessive.

  • Drop rate 15% (Previously 100%) + XP 0.3x (Previously 1.0x)

  • Actual XP gain reduced by approximately 95%

🐛 Bug Fixes & UI Improvements

  • Neural InfectorZigzag movement formula bug fixed. Now actually pursues players and performs melee attacks (Previously, it always just circled around the player)
  • Mirror MirageSame movement bug fixed
  • Lobby Language Selection7 → 11 languages (German, French, Vietnamese, Latin American Spanish added)
  • Ship Selection Screen Label CorrectionMovement Speed/Fire Rate distinction, Critical Hit Chance, Magnetic Field Range, Defense display added
  • Dead Sound Effects Cleanup — Reduced loading overhead by removing 5 SFX that are no longer called

We await your feedback. We wish you happy survival! 🚀
