A new PACT scene unlocks at Stage 5. Before each run, choose 1 of 9 contracts (NONE + 8 random) that trade risk for power.

A persistent layer that grows while you're away.

  • Two parallel colonies: Compound and Core

  • 5-plot pentagon layout, tiered plots, base upgrades, 8 plot types per colony

  • Prisoner System — captured enemies generate offline yield

  • Offline cap prevents idle exploits

  • New currency: Mysterious Energy, required for higher-tier upgrades

⟢ Balance Pass

  • Ship rebalance — fire-rate reduction per upgrade lowered by ~20%

  • ARSENAL engineering part fire-rate nerf

  • RELOAD_MANIA tradeoff softened (0.67 → 0.78)

  • Skip tradeoff rebalanced — 12% base + 4% per level scaling

  • Shrapnel artifact reworked — now aimed at the nearest enemy with +1 pierce

  • Homing artifact removed

  • Spore Launcher — fixed eastward drift off-screen

  • Mach Blade — slash fade and sweep readability improved

  • Module Library — first-entry tab render race fixed

  • Stun cap — 6000ms ceiling prevents runaway freeze chains
