Wyrd World changes
This one has a lot packed into it.
Primarily, each starting city now has a mount vendor who will sell you a variety of colorful mounts you can ride to travel faster. They're kind of tucked away in each town so you'll have to search a little bit to find each one.
Mounts already existed in the form of a spell you could loot from enemies or chests but that felt unbalanced, and they came with a ton of bugs, so this patch is the remedy.
Those bugs and many more are fixed and listed down below.
Rideable Elks, Horses and Bears are now in the game, purchasable from the respective vendors. More to be added soon including wolves, big cats, and even a flying mount, soon.
Mounts have some basic commands when being ridden.
-Left click will do a simple attack in case you are in combat, though they cannot die so it's kinda cheesable, but you still have to dismount to loot things, eat, check the map, etc.
-Left alt key will make the mount walk/run similar to normal player controls.
Mount rider positioning fixed - they no longer float.
Fixed an issue with mounts getting confused about who their owner was, leading to a bug where the mount disappeared under the player if another player rode theirs occasionally.
Most weather statuses got tweaked to reduce their blinding level of fog. More to be included in the next patch.
Corrected some UI elements not disappearing when "," was pressed to hide UI for screenshots.
The game now includes a hard save after character creation, in case any bugs occur and the only way to exit the game is with alt f4. Atleast your customization wont be lost when you load back in.
Fixed an issue with the inventory of the bartender in Winds' Perch.
Issues with NPC pathing were fixed, they will chase you until you exit their spawning area. They were hitting invisible barriers during chase before. I plan to rework enemy NPCs soon anyway.
Fixed an issue with a healing spell that allowed it to be mass-spammed for broken healing effect. It's supposed to be a slow regen spell similar to the regen buff gained from eating food for 10 minutes. Will add more powerful healing spells soon.
That is all for now. Mainly I wanted to implement mount vendors and apply all of the fixes for mounted riding.
As stated, i look forward to adding more mount types, and making them unlockable in other ways beside just purchase from a merchant. I also want to rebuild enemy types so they include more animation and immersion depending on the weapon you fight them with, or give them more attack types, strategic movement, etc.
