Wildaria 2.6 Update - The Mountain & the Mole Hill ⛰️
Hi Wildarians!
This update introduces one of the biggest world-generation overhauls yet, along with major improvements to pet taming, quests, combat, performance, and quality of life.

🏔️ Dynamic Mountains
A brand new dynamic mountain generation system has been added.
Mountains now generate with layered elevated terrain and traversable paths.
Added mountain stairways and cave entrances that always provide a valid route to the summit.
Players can now jump down mountain ledges.
Added mountain-specific chests, encounters, merchants, and secrets.
Peakgoats and powerful mountain bosses can now appear on mountaintops.
Fixed numerous mountain visual, spawning, collision, and pathing issues.
Mountains once again appear on the Mana Compass.
⚔️ Combat Improvements
Melee attacks can now deflect enemy arrows and ranged projectiles.
Mage projectiles can now be destroyed by melee attacks.
Added boomerang projectile deflection interactions.
Rebalanced enemy health and damage scaling.
Defense scaling has been redesigned with logarithmic progression for smoother balance.
Updated armor resistance skill scaling.
🐾 Pet Taming Improvements
The Bubble Lasso taming system received a major pass.
Added a new prize mechanic during taming.
Improved visual indicators and capture feedback.
Added clearer taming controls and tutorial guidance.
Pulling and canceling the lasso are now more visible and intuitive.
Improved escape behavior and taming skill scaling.
Added particles and visual polish during captures.
Lassoed creatures now properly lose combat aggro.
Doubled pet health to improve survivability.
Reduced pet stuttering while following or being mounted.
Added pet respawn timers to the UI.
📜 Quest Log Overhaul
The quest system has been significantly improved.
New quest details panel.
View objectives, rewards, progress, and quest descriptions in one place.
Added "Open on Map" functionality.
Added Wildapedia quest progress tracking.
Improved quest dialogue saving.
Fixed multiple quest-related bugs and edge cases.
🌴 World Generation & Biomes
Added Oasis generation improvements.
Tropical jungles now generate with richer environments and better landmark placement.
Improved biome borders to prevent terrain generation issues.
Added more camps, NPCs, treasures, and points of interest.
Improved desert, swamp, ocean, and beach terrain generation.
Added support for new cave layouts.
Added dungeon corridor blockers including boulders, fly traps, and sea urchins.
Infinite POI spawning has been expanded and improved.
🌊 Ocean & Underwater Content
Fixed underwater ruin generation.
Added proper underwater object spawning.
Fixed several ocean village generation issues.
Improved water rendering around mountains and elevated terrain.
🎨 UI & Visual Improvements
Redesigned enemy health bars.
Added level pills and improved XP displays.
Improved HUD readability.
Added additional XP tracking.
Updated pet stat UI.
Improved health bar scaling for bosses and enemies.
Added a new grass art pass and environmental polish.
Updated the Wildaria font with improved readability and additional character support.
🧰 Quality of Life
Added floor item saving and loading.
Added item decay based on in-game time.
Added day and time saving/loading.
Added pet healing at sleep points.
Improved controller navigation throughout multiple menus.
Improved map scaling persistence between scenes.
⚡ Performance & Stability
Fixed several game-breaking chunk loading and world position bugs.
Fixed numerous dungeon, POI, and world-generation issues.
Reduced garbage collection spikes and FindObjectOfType-related lag.
Improved NPC performance.
Fixed projectile collision issues.
Fixed multiple UI, inventory, quest, and save/load bugs.
Improved FMOD audio behavior and stability across platforms.
