Hi everyone! We’re Tiny Potion Tree, an indie studio from Andorra, and we’re currently working on: Wandersky. This is our very first update on Steam, so we really appreciate any feedback, comments, or suggestions that can help us improve future updates.

What is Wandersky?

Wandersky is a top-down action-adventure game set in the land of Hyndara. You play as Kuu, a mysterious young archer who travels through the skies aboard the Genbu House, a flying tree-house. She will explore across diverse and intricate biomes: icy peaks, dense bamboo forests, hidden caves, endless deserts, and forgotten ruins beyond a vast sea of clouds, uncovering secrets and valuable loot along the way.

Our story’s goal is to restore the land of Hyndara by mastering and guiding a single arrow, battling the corruption of the Oremite Plague, and bringing hope back to this fading world.

For us, Wandersky is more than just a game. It comes from a desire to tell a story about nature & hope. We want players to discover and interpret the game’s concept for themselves through exploration and adventure.

What can you expect:

  • Unique deep mechanics: Control, move, push, and pull your arrow to exploit enemy weak points, solve intricate puzzles, and gather materials while discovering Hyndara.

  • Easy to learn, hard to masterdesigned for both veteran players and new ones.
  • A world with soul: Sail across the cloudscape and mysterious ruins on hand-crafted maps. Enjoy an intimate and evocative story, with a backtracking based level design.

The Development of Wandersky

We’ve been fully immersed in the development of Wandersky for the past two years. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 (we upgraded to version 5.7 this January). At this point, a large part of the game is already in place, including:

  • The core gameplay mechanics and related abilities.

  • Several of the main puzzles with their different systems.

  • Bows.

  • Key items.

  • The flying House.

  • The game world with its various biomes.

  • Enemies, bosses, and more.

Right now, we’re polishing the animations of some enemies, making new enemies, improving the combat, implementing the UI, and testing new foliage to enhance our trees and forests. We’re also improving the visual side of several puzzle mechanisms, among other things. Although we’re already quite far along, we still have about a year ahead of us. During this time, we’ll be focusing on completing the remaining content, polishing bugs and issues, and localizing the game into multiple languages, among other tasks.

Steam Deck Support

In this first Steam Dev Update, we want to confirm Wandersky will support Steam Deck. A major focus during development will be careful optimization to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience on the device.
