Welcome back to the fourth development update for Wandersky!! April has been an incredibly busy month for Tiny Potion Tree. Between the improvements we’ve been making across different areas of Wandersky, the first impressions shared by press and content creators who had the chance to play a pre-alpha version of the game, our participation in the Earth Appreciation Festival, and the strong growth in wishlist numbers by the end of the month, we’re feeling equally excited and exhausted. But we’re not stopping here, let’s go with our fourth development update!
Environment & Level Art
- We've been working in more assets for decorating different biomesfrom creepy nest, to new hero assets to improve memorable places along the maps
New textures for enemies, props, and environment pieces.
New sky & VFX improvements
We decided to change the sky approach a little bit, a huge pillar of our game. We started testing and prototyping the new sky scene, validate it and test it
As we worked on builds for press and publishers, we've been really focused on making them bug free
Finally we had time to improve an important effect for our environment blockers: the exploding rocks!
Enemies & Bosses
Development of new enemies, reworks, and elite variants.
Work on new abilities to improve the gameplay.
More progress in enemy-related combat behaviors.
Iteration on bows, charged shots, and switching systems.
Animation
Continued progress on several enemy animation sets.
Worked on Kuu’s falling animation.
What is coming?
We’ve reached a magical milestone on our wishlist: 5K. This is a huge achievement for the whole team, and we’re incredibly excited, but we're not stopping here. The sky is the limit.
This milestone is the result of a lot of teamwork, the dedication of every single member of the team, our participation in digital events such as the Earth Appreciation Festival, and above all, the support of you, our community. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. We’ll keep working hard to make Wandersky the best it can be, continuing to share its development through digital events, social media, and here with all of you. The next dev update will be published on Friday, 29 May, where we’ll continue sharing the project’s progress and any exciting news we have along the way. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support. As always, thank you for following the development of Wandersky!! See you up in the skies!!🏹☁️
