Are you ready to be enchanted? We hope the answer is positive, because we are happy to bring you another content update!
What's new?
The Enchantment Altar
The brightest star of this update – or the plumpest vein, if you will – is the new Enchantment Altar. Here, you can use powerful magical attributes to obliterate your enemies with far greater success.
How?
Combine gems, Frozen Vampire Tears, and Blood Vials to imbue your hunting gear with these unique enchantments!
Enchanting is a volatile business, so success isn't guaranteed, and failure will cost you your materials. But it's not a total loss: what's left behind is a brand-new item, Arcane Dust. Use it to craft the Potion of Arcane Crafter, which raises your chances of landing a higher tier whenever you craft, enchant, or create Frozen Vampire Tear.
So what kind of enchantments can you put on your gear? Wonderful question, Bloodlord!
They come in a range of categories: offensive, defensive, arcana, mobility, and vitality. Some are old favourites, some are brand new, and as of this update, you can raise the tier of every last one of them.
Status Effects
Adding enchantments also meant expanding the list of already existing status effects.
We are sure you will have a lot of fun using them, but you'll also get to experience them firsthand, courtesy of your enemies' weapons.
Ready to evade the burning swords, m'lord?
We're all about keeping things fair around here! It wouldn't be sporting to keep all the fun to yourself.
Here's the full list:
NEW Curse – cursed enemies have lower Attack Damage. Affects both players and enemies.
NEW Stun – stunned enemies cannot perform any actions for a short time. Affects both players and enemies.
NEW Fear – scared enemies run from you. Only affects enemies.
NEW Silver – when hit by a silver weapon, the player takes no debuff but loses Blood equal to the Existence lost. Only affects the player.
NEW Lightbound – player cannot use Arcana skills or dash for some time. Only affects the player.
Poison – poisoned enemies receive damage over time and are slower. Affects both players and enemies.
Burning – burning enemies receive damage over time and are faster. Affects both players and enemies.
Curious about the exact status effects and numbers? Sink your teeth into the patch notes.
A Sharper Edge
Less flashy than a shiny new enchantment, but trust us, you'll feel this one in your bones.
We've rebalanced resources, the economy, and character progression across the board. With all the new content we've been adding, it was the natural next step.
We aim to keep the game finely tuned – challenging enough to keep you on your toes, fun enough to keep you hungry for more. From your first night to your last.
Frozen Vampire Tears
In other news, you can now craft Frozen Vampire Tears! Unlock this ability through the Arcana progression tree to make your hunt for enchanting ingredients a little easier - especially if you have a lot of Arcana points by now. The Higher the Arcana mastery the higher the chance of obtaining stronger Tears.
Chests That Refill
Inquisition camp chests now restock every time their defenders respawn – call it a standing donation to your cause, whether the Inquisition likes it or not. Fresh loot and rewards keep piling up over time, and anything you didn't grab last visit stays right where you left it.
Gather your gems and fire up the Enchantment Altars!
