First, we want to express our sincere gratitude to all players participating in our very first Steam Playtest.
Our development team is actively working on improvements based on your feedback.
Some changes cannot be applied during the ongoing Playtest build, but you will see many of these improvements reflected in the next public version.
Here are some of the major improvements we are preparing:
1. Reduced Punishment for Falling Deaths
In the current Steam Playtest build, falling off a map results in a full death, sending you back to the start of the level or the lobby.
We understand that this can feel overly punishing, so we are planning to introduce a Revival Point system.
In the improved version, falling deaths will restart you from the nearest revival point, greatly reducing the frustration.
2. Improved Control Key Mapping
Many players mentioned discomfort with both keyboard and controller mapping, and we are already working on enhancements.
The next version will include more intuitive default key bindings, such as:
Changing the Walk toggle key (currently ALT)
Supporting WASD for UI navigation alongside arrow keys
Other improvements for smoother input
3. Enhanced Task Display System
The mission objectives currently stay fixed on the right side of the screen.
We’ve improved this so the task UI will auto-hide, keeping the screen cleaner.
A dedicated hotkey will be assigned so you can check objectives anytime.
4. Reworked Reward System
Rewards during the Playtest focused too heavily on chips.
We're revamping the system so players can obtain a wider variety of weapons and armor.
We already have many items prepared internally, but only a small portion was added to the Playtest due to polish requirements.
In the next version, you’ll be able to experience a significantly larger set of equipment.
5. Improved Monster Attack Signals
We’re working on making monster attack signals more readable and distinct.
This will improve your ability to judge enemy actions and will also enhance the personality of each enemy type.

6. UI Improvements
We are aware that the current UI can feel inconvenient.
A large-scale UI overhaul is planned for upcoming versions.
We truly hope to continue developing V.E.D.A together with all of you.
The Playtest will continue until next Monday, so please make sure to submit your feedback through the survey below!
