Development Update

Over the past couple of weeks, work has focused on refining core gameplay systems and continuing progress toward the demo.

Several foundational mechanics have been cleaned up and expanded, including:

  • Full ladder climb animations (entering and exiting at both top and bottom)

  • Weapon attachment behavior during ladder climbing

  • Improved enemy aggro and line-of-sight detection using updated sphere tracing

  • Health bar updates to clearly display maximum health when reduced by sanity

  • Revisions to class selection widgets and UI clarity

While many of these updates are behind-the-scenes improvements, they directly impact how responsive and readable the game feels moment to moment.

Combat systems continue to evolve as parry mechanics and class abilities are refined. The focus right now is on tightening core gameplay and ensuring animations, feedback, and player control feel deliberate and satisfying.

Upcoming focus areas include:

  • Continued parry implementation and tuning

  • Class passive and active ability integration

  • Combat feedback polish

  • Demo structure preparation

Steady progress continues, and more updates will follow as systems come together.
