addedThis weekend we're adding in some big new systems, even though they're still very early. Our vision is much larger than what's available right now. But we'd prefer to get them in your hands now, so we can start getting feedback. That's what playtesting is for, right?
addedCookingThere are dozens of new recipes available in Triarchy, so experiment widely at your Cooking Galley to discover them all. You'll also find a variety of new ingredients around the world. Or if you're dishonorable, Mudley's garden sure does look nice…
changedCookingWanting to try the Pufferfish Delicacy? Maybe craving some homely Brinebeast Rolls? Be sure to upgrade your Cooking Galley with a Cooking Pot for more complex dishes.
addedFishingI like Whiskerfish as much as the next aspiring adventurer, but there's plenty more fish in the sea now. Build your own rod and find a scenic spot from which to cast your line. This adds a variety of new food options, though it's just an initial taster for the full vision we have for fishing.
addedFishingIn future we plan to add a mini-game and lots more options to fishing, but while that's all still cooking, we want to get the core system out for you to play. How do you think the mini-game should work?
addedCombat Change: PoiseThe Poise system has had a major overhaul. You now Daze enemies when you exhaust their poise. And if you hit them hard enough while Dazed, you can Stagger them, extending the window during which they're vulnerable. The new Dazed state has new animations and VFX. With a few notable exceptions, such as some larger bosses that can't be Dazed or Staggered.

Cooking

Are you tired of Crunchy Seaweed and Tropical Nuts? Expand your palate with some Coconut Whiskerfish Cakes, Durian Nut Crumble, or Brinebeast Rolls. Make sure you've been paying attention when learning your recipes, or you'll have to settle for a Questionable Gruel again.

Combat Change: Poise

The Poise system has had a major overhaul.

These changes clearly signal Poise states, and make them easier to discover. As well as having some advantages in the consistency and balance department. Let us know how these feel for you - hopefully the essence of the combat is even better than before.

Tree Chopping Improved

We've also overhauled tree chopping. We've felt the same frustrations you've probably noticed with targeting trees, fallen trunks, and stumps for chopping. No more stepping past the tree you're trying to chop. Less frustration, more building your dream ship!
