The Whisker Watch changes
We’re
We’re Catch the Void from Toronto, making The Whisker Watch - a co-op roguelike about cats, chaos, and a cozy mansion.
The spark was a real cat: Kuchan, our friends’ cat. Young, strong - then sudden kidney failure out of nowhere. It punched us in the gut and made one thing clear: cats live surrounded by hidden hazards we barely notice - lilies and other toxic plants, cleaners, tiny “harmless” bits, cords.
So we set out to build a game that sees the house through a cat’s eyes.
The Whisker Watch
All cats are secret superheroes. By day they’re ordinary pets - lounging, causing mischief, making the house cozy. By night they become guardians, protecting their Human and home from lurking horrors.
Night: raid and scrap, fight and mystery.
Day: nap, repair, and upgrade your home.
Co-op: friendly slaps, double-cat switches, catball, and junkit combos (shields, turrets, etc.).
Mischief is meta: strategic barf, tactical… gifts, precision hairballs - be a menace, get rewarded
Human: you can annoy or love your person, and no matter what, he will love you and give you bonuses
Cats love boxes. We love wishlists. Add it now. And give your pet a treat of course
😺 Tell us about your pets and share the cat behaviors that can be implemented in the game. 😺
