The Serpent and the Crow changes
The first demo content update is here. We've added new Combat Arts, Ascensions, Equipment, Quests and Conduits. Also, Boss Fights have been tweaked be less spongey, but more challenging overall. In addition, we've worked on general balance changes and more clarity within the UI for an improved new player experience.
2 New Ascensions
Arcane Trickster Ascension for the Outlander Origin which specializes in elemental and magic damage types.
Death Knight Ascension for the Soldier Origin which specializes in Death damage. We also added 4 new pieces of equipment to accompany these Ascensions, with stats that help flesh out the builds and add flavor. You can find them in Equipment boxes during a run after completing the required prerequisites.
6 New Death Ritual Combat Arts
Skull Crow
Cauldron of Bats
Death Rancor
Spirit Lance
Summon Skeleton
Death Scythe
We also added a new Accessory - The Grave's Charm which gives you the Death type Affinity, this is also found in Equipment boxes during a run.
3 New Conduits
We don't want to give these away entirely, but we will say one of them uses the Astral damage mod, one includes the Soldier starting skill, Punishing Slam, and the third to discover.

1 New Modification
Focused Channeling - for longer cast times when using Death Rancor and future channeled Combat Arts.
User Experience Improvements and Bug Fixes
Playing in higher difficulty gives more meta currency from defeating the boss at the end of the sage. The multiplier is be displayed over the door before entering the portal to the stage.
Base gold value increased to 100 for gold bags given as boss rewards and destructible loot.
Scattershot Modification has been removed from the game. Instead, most Combat Arts will gain a chance for a bonus projectile as the Proficiency is upgraded during a run.
The Sage, Blacksmith, and Codex are now visible when you play the game for the first time, allowing you to see the Quest log at the Codex before your first run.
When using Keyboard and Mouse, all key input notifiers (such as the Interact button over Shrines and NPCs) now have a white background for better readability.
When ranking up a Proficiency level (Apprentice through Legendary) under "Next Proficiency Stats" you will now only see the stats that will be added when you rank up, instead of showing the total stats gained thus far.
Aim smoothing on controllers has been improved to be more responsive.'
Changed run outcome screen to use "B" controller button to close for consistency.
There is now overhead text when picking up certain resources during a run, such as Reroll cubes, Codex currency, and Parchment used for purchasing Combat Arts.
Hurtbox adjustments for some enemies to make them a bit easier to hit with some of the more precise combat arts.
Evade cooldown proficiency percentages corrected.
Consecrate Ground Conduit upgrade percentages corrected.
EXP bar now updates correctly after leveling.
Death Flame conduit has been renamed Funeral Pyre and received a buff to make it more powerful.
Experience Gain Trait would cause crazy leveling was fixed.
Fixed problem with difficulty level 3 bonus objectives never completing.
Updated text prompts on equipment display screen to better explain the process of gear creation and upgrades.
Fixed issue with weird timer display before the stage would officially start.
