Previously, these were called "Conduits", but we renamed them "Fusions" in this update.
We added 10+ new Fusions, which can be discovered and activated by upgrading two connected Combat Arts on the Destiny Wheel to Legendary Proficiency during a run.
Fusions are determined by Combat Art Lines, not individual Combat Arts. For example, combining any two Combat Arts from the Incendiary Sorcery Line creates the Chain Reaction Fusion, granting the fused Combat Arts a chance to cause explosions on hit.
New Evade-based Fusions have also been added. These have a chance to trigger when you Evade, leading to more reactive and strategic gameplay.
Void Breach is a mid-run event that can occur on Difficulty 2+ during Stages 2-4. Completing the event rewards Fusion Currency, which can be used at the Tavern to upgrade your discovered Fusions.
During a Void Breach, you are confined to a sealed area and must fight (or evade) three new challenging enemy types. Defeating all Void enemies during the breach rewards Fusion Currency, which can be spent at the Sage in the Tavern to upgrade Fusion ranks.
After beating Difficulty 1, you will unlock the Lockbox. This allows you to save a fixed amount of Rune Fragments and Reroll Cubes, giving you a small head start on your next run. Lockbox capacity increases after completing Difficulty Levels 1, 2, and 3.
You can also pre-emptively Forge equipment before a run using Rune Fragments at the Blacksmith.
This update also introduces 10 new pieces of Equipment to discover and craft. These sets are designed to support hybrid builds, allowing you to gain combinations of Strength and Knowledge, Dexterity and Strength, or Knowledge and Dexterity from a single piece.
Spellblade
Void Weave
Ranger
Primal Channeler
Battlemage
The Astrologer Origin receives its second Ascension, The Elementalist. With this addition, every Origin now has two Ascensions available.
The Elementalist summons metal orbs that fly and rotate around the player. Each orb is imbued with a distinct damage type: Ice, Fire, or Earth (Physical).
You can unlock this Ascension by dealing 400,000 Fire Damage as the Astrologer Origin.
Increased default player movement speed.
Evade now has an "Evade Boost" stat that increases Evade travel distance.
Elite Roller Jester corpse decal adjusted.
Meteor skill has been buffed.
Bosses now have a large health bar UI element.
Character animations have been adjusted and improved.
Torn Hood equipment had its rune slots corrected.
The term "Slay" is now used instead of "Assassinate" for insta-kills.
Loot drop rates from destructibles have been balanced.
Incorrect text for an Elite kill event has been corrected.
Stage UI scale has been adjusted.
"Not Available in Demo" text has been added to other Biome entrances.
