The Last Night: Zombie Attack changes
🥚 OPERATION EASTER: GOLDEN RESURRECTION
Status: Inactive (April 3rd – April 6th)
Attention Survivors,
The containment breach at the facility has taken a bizarre turn. As of April 3rd, our scanners are picking up high-frequency signatures from "Golden Artifacts" scattered throughout the lower levels. These objects aren't just for show—they seem to be stabilizing the reality shifts caused by the "Black Hole" anomalies.
We are calling on all units to re-enter the nightmare and secure these assets before they vanish on Monday, April 6th.
🌟 NEW EVENT CONTENT: THE GREAT HUNT
The eggs aren't just sitting in the open. You’ll need to navigate the familiar halls of the Levels and the newer sectors to find them.
Hidden Collectibles: 25 Golden Eggs have been placed across Levels 1 through 6.
Audio Triggers: Keep your ears open. The eggs emit a faint hum when you are nearby.
- Easter "Gremlins"Reports indicate that the local zombie population has... changed. They are faster, more erratic, and appear to be guarding the artifacts. Look for the white-eared variants.
The Reward: (If you have an unlock, mention it here! e.g.,"Collecting all eggs grants early access hints for the massive May Update.")
🐧 NATIVE LINUX & STEAM DECK INTEGRATION (COMING SOON)
We heard the community loud and clear, and we are currently in the final stages of a Native Linux & Steam Deck Deployment.
The Goal: A dedicated Linux build is currently being finalized in our Steam Playtest branch.
Steam Deck Optimization: We are working to ensure a "One-Click Play" experience on SteamOS without the need for Proton workarounds.
- Vulkan SupportExpect improved rendering and frame stability for all Linux survivors.
Status: Testing is underway. We aim to flip the switch to LIVE as soon as the Easter event concludes, or sooner if stability holds!
🛠️ GENERAL PATCH NOTES & BUG FIXES
While the eggs are the stars of the show, we’ve been working hard under the hood to prepare for our Huge May Update.
NavMesh Overhaul: Zombies will no longer "ghost" through barricaded walls. We have implemented NavMesh Obstacle Carving to ensure safety zones stay safe.
- Lighting OptimizationsFixed a bug where the "Black Hole" would cause flickering in the Flooded Courtyard.
- UI CleanupThe "Generating Level" text has been adjusted to ensure it doesn't obstruct the view during intense gameplay.
Input Fixes: Mouse sensitivity and button raycasting in the Options Menu have been tuned for better responsiveness.
🚀 LOOKING AHEAD: THE FUTURE OF THE NIGHTMARE
The Easter Event is just the beginning. While you hunt for artifacts this weekend, the team is hard at work on the next major expansion for The Last Night: Zombie Attack.
- Expanding the FacilityNew sectors are being mapped out beyond the initial 6 levels.
- Survivor RewardsWe are exploring new ways to reward those who complete the full campaign—stay tuned for news on how you can "master" the facility once the story concludes.
The Official Level 7: The "Flooded Courtyard" is currently in a limited-time preview, but expect its permanent, polished debut very soon.
The hunt begins tomorrow. Good luck, Survivors.
