π’ Playtest Update: Level 7 Visual Overhaul & Hotfixes!
Welcome back hunters,
A brand-new patch has just been deployed to The Last Night: Zombie Attack! This update focuses entirely on transforming the atmosphere of Level 7: The Abandoned Railway and squashing a few critical bugs that were impacting your escape attempts.
Here is exactly what has changed in the depths of the station:
π Atmosphere & Lighting Overhaul (Level 7 Exclusive)
We have completely re-engineered the environmental visuals to bring out a terrifying, industrial horror mood:
- Industrial Emergency LightingAdded new dynamic light fixtures across the parallel tracks and vaulted ceilings. Glimmering emergency lights will now cast long, eerie 3D shadows as you navigate the station.
Volumetric Smoke & Fog: Thick, heavy smoke has been deployed throughout the level, creating a pitch-black, claustrophobic fog-of-war. Breaking line-of-sight in the smog is now your best friend.
Atmospheric Train Smoke: The massive 5-carriage trains now billow active, realistic smoke and steam along the line, turning the lower floor into a chaotic, blind death trap.
π§ Critical Fixes & Tweaks
- Level 7 Torch FixResolved a major tracking issue where the player's torch would break, desync, or fail to illuminate the environment when entering this massive new map layout. It is now 100% stable and fully operational!
- Hallway Layout CorrectionFixed structural collision bugs and layout seams in the connecting halls. You will no longer clip into geometry or get caught on invisible walls while sprinting from the horde.
- Exit Protocol SecuredThe level transition zone and final exit trigger have been completely fixed and tested. Escaping the station will now smoothly register and advance your progress.
- Ghost Conductor Fixwe have been elongated with discord bugs along with messages about the ghost conductor being too fast or he is spawning in and immediately killing the player so out team has quickly fixed the issue and made it easier and more fun to escape.
