v1.81 (2026-02-23)
fixed: a bug where a crash is occured when some faulty information in save.dat, is being parsed and loaded. Now the game detects and skips the parsing of such faulty entities, which also prevents them to be re-saved (thanks @glenn3e, @grandpa)
fixed: a bug where a required iron key was not dropped by killing a goblin on 'Depths of Silkmoor' dungeon (thanks @Tresette, @crpgnut, @glenn3e, @titinne, @Corwin, @Beast)
fixed: a bug where the alchemist in the forest of 'Silkmoor' couldn't follow you down to 'Depths of Silkmoor' since no 'Climb Down' option was shown after clearing the dungeon in first place (thanks @glenn3e, @Mixxer5, @crpgnut)
fixed: a bug where short swords couldn't be equipped by Clerics and Wizards, even when they had acquired the 'short blade' skill (thanks @Corwin, @GamingPanda, @crpgnut)
fixed: a bug where frequent crashes were caused at random times, due to sometimes using invalid monster object pointers (thanks @crpgnut)
fixed: a bug where items that trigger an event (such as the scroll with combination in 'Depths of Silkmoor') were not working well when used outside their respected dungeons (thanks @glenn3e, @blizzardmetal)
fixed: a bug where equipping a two-handed item (rendering the second hand unusable) caused the empty hand to briefly flash on each party movement when an NPC companion was hired
- fixeda bug where the 'The Sealed Tomb' side quest can't be completed due to Void King not triggering its event after all 4 braziers have been lit. This is fixed in content but also dynamically when loading a save, allowing proper closure (thanks @Orace, @Genyosha)
fixed: a bug where map properties (mostly related to lighting) were not preserved on loading, causing graphical glitches like no-lighting at all on magical-darkness maps like 'Withered Keep, Level 3'
fixed: a bug where the title screen becomes very slow or appear frozen if the save.dat file became large over time. This is no longer an issue. (thanks @Peter Hedman)
fixed: a bug where a non existing monster was causing a crash to desktop (CTD) when used incorrectly on a condition check. Found through a few crash dumps (thanks @crpgnut, @Corwin)
- addeda last restock date on 'Buy' page on all shops, showing the last time where the shop was restocked with new items, can help debugging shop restocking potential bugs (thanks @crpgnut, @Genyosha)
added: a crash minidump functionality to help investigating on the emerging crashes of the game
