Bosses,

Night City is becoming bigger, more dangerous, and deeper than ever before.

With the Rise of the Families Update, we are introducing TPS Mode, the Office System, family creation, Capo progression, rival families, 11 districts, territory control, diplomacy, interrogation, clothing customization, custom radio support, keybindings, Steam achievements, inventory improvements, and more.

TPS Mode

You can now press TAB at any time in the open world to switch into TPS Mode.

In this mode, you can control your character with WASD, use your assigned weapons with 1, 2, and 3, and experience Night City from a new third-person perspective.

Press Space to roll and avoid incoming damage.

Remember, headshots deal increased damage.

We are also working on new mechanics designed specifically for TPS Mode.

Hit Reactions and Death Animations

Enemies now react more dynamically to the final shot that takes them down in TPS Mode.

Depending on where the last bullet hits and the direction of the impact, enemies can die with different body reactions.

For example, a headshot, a shot from the side, or a hit to the legs can all create different death reactions, making combat feel more physical and responsive.

Pickpocket Update

The pickpocket system has been updated to fit the new TPS flow.

Press C to move behind a pedestrian, then press F to attempt a pickpocket.

Journal Added to the Main UI

The Journal has now been added to the main UI.

You can use the Journal to track and manage the missions you have accepted.

This makes it easier to follow your active jobs, choose which mission you want to focus on, and keep control of your criminal plans across Night City.

Office System

The Office System has now been added to Night City.

Once you purchase an office, you will be able to take on daily illegal jobs from city residents.

You can press J or open the Journal from the main UI to select and track the mission you want to follow.

Successfully completed jobs will reward you with Prestige Points.

Office jobs now also contribute to character progression. When a job is completed by a specific character, that character gains Charisma Points.

Build Your Family

After purchasing an office, you can begin building your own criminal family.

You can choose your family name, select your family logo, recruit gangsters, and promote selected gangsters to Capo.

The Capo system is an important step in expanding your organization and increasing your influence across Night City.

Interrogation Room

When you upgrade your office, the Interrogation Room will become available.

Captured enemy family members can be brought into this room. With the help of a high-Charisma character from your family, you can choose different ways to deal with them:

Extract Information Gain valuable information from the captive.

Demand Ransom Demand ransom money from their family.

Convince to Join Family Try to convince the captive to join your own family.

Execute Execute your rival and weaken the enemy family.

11 Districts and Rival Families

Night City now features 11 districts.

This update also introduces 2 new rival families:

Vice Kings A powerful criminal family that owns the Pink Flamingo and controls 5 districts.

Kurohana Syndicate The family that owns Samurai Toys and controls the city’s drug trade.

When you enter one of these businesses, such as opening a club or a warehouse, your relationship with these families will begin to decrease.

If relations get bad enough, you may end up at war with them.

Territory Map

You can view and manage the Territory Map through the office interface.

You can also open the city map with M and click the Territory Map section at the top.

From this map, you can see which family controls each district, which points can be captured, and how power is distributed across Night City.

Territory Control

To take over a district, you must capture the drug sales points and businesses in that area.

After that, you must spend Prestige Points to claim the district.

Once the claim is made, you need to go to the marked area and survive waves of enemy attacks.

Capturing districts, businesses, and sales points will reduce your relationship with the family that controls them.

Passive Prestige Income and Territory Cuts

When you capture a district, that district will generate passive Prestige Points for your family every day.

Districts are not only a symbol of power anymore. They now provide long-term progression and help you expand your criminal empire across Night City.

Territory ownership also affects drug sales.

If you sell drugs in a district you do not control, a portion of your profit will automatically be paid to the family that owns that territory.

Taking over districts allows you to remove this cut, keep more of your profits, and strengthen your control over the city.

Destroying Rival Families

To completely destroy a rival family, you must first take over all of their territories.

After that, you need to eliminate their family members.

Once all territories are captured and their members are eliminated, the rival family boss will spawn somewhere in the city.

Find and defeat the boss, and that rival family will be destroyed entirely.

Diplomacy and Family Relations

You can improve your relationships with rival families by completing various jobs for them.

You can also pay a certain amount to make peace.

However, be careful when entering the territory of a family you are at war with.

If they see you, they will attack on sight.

Customization

We continue to follow your feedback closely.

While adding major core systems to the game, we are also expanding customization options.

You can now visit clothing stores and buy new outfits for your character.

After promoting your gangsters to Capo, you can also customize their outfits.

Custom Radio Support

Custom radio support has been added to the game.

You can now add your own MP3 files to the radio folder and listen to your own music while playing.

You can place all of your MP3 files directly into the radio folder, or create additional folders inside it to build your own separate radio stations.

Each folder can act as a different custom radio channel, allowing you to organize your music however you like.

Inventory Improvements

We have improved the inventory system.

When you enter a shop, you can now see both your personal inventory and the pallet inventory at the same time.

You can choose where purchased items should be added first.

This creates a smoother experience for shopping, production, and stock management.

Keybindings

We have added a new Keybindings system.

You can now view what each key does directly from the Settings menu and customize your controls however you like.

This gives players more flexibility and makes it easier to adjust the controls based on their own playstyle.

Steam Achievements

Steam Achievements have now been added to the game.

You can now unlock achievements while progressing through Night City, building your criminal empire, completing objectives, and exploring the new systems.

We also plan to expand the achievement list over time with future updates.

What’s Next

There are still many more features we want to add to the office system, territory system, and rival families.

We are looking forward to your suggestions and feedback.

We are working 24/7 to deliver one of the most unique crime games ever made.

Until the next update, take care, bosses.
