The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire changes
Bosses,
Following the introduction of rival crime families and territory control, The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire continues to grow with the New Blood Major Patch.
This major update delivers a completely reimagined Campaign Mode, a new cinematic beginning, underground street fights, expanded vehicle systems, drift races, warehouse conflicts, new interiors, gameplay improvements, and many quality-of-life changes.
A Completely Reimagined Campaign Mode
Campaign Mode has been completely redesigned to offer a more exciting, cinematic, and accessible introduction to The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire.
From now on, when you select Start New Game, the redesigned Campaign Mode will begin automatically.
The campaign opens with a cinematic third-person action sequence that immediately throws you into the criminal underworld. After this action-focused beginning, the story gradually introduces the empire-building and management systems that form the core of the game.
New tutorial missions guide you through the game’s major mechanics as part of a connected story, rather than presenting them as separate or disconnected tutorials.
Throughout the campaign, players will learn how to:
Purchase and manage properties
Produce goods inside homes and hotel rooms
Begin small-scale production operations
Establish and manage warehouses
Hire and manage employees
Open and upgrade an Office
Complete illegal Office jobs
Create and develop a crime family
Recruit gangsters and promote Capos
Fight rival crime families
Capture and control territories
Kidnap and interrogate rival family members
Expand a criminal empire across Night City
The redesigned Campaign Mode is intended to help new players understand the game’s growing number of systems while experiencing them through a structured criminal story.
Players who prefer complete freedom can still access the available Sandbox Scenarios and build their empire at their own pace without following the guided campaign progression.
Underground Street Fights
A new underground fighting arena has opened at the harbor.
Players can enter brutal street fights, select a difficulty level, bet money on themselves, and prove that they are the toughest gangster in Night City.
Spectators can also become part of the action by throwing objects into the fighting area. Players may grab items such as chairs and broken bottles, using them to stun opponents and gain an advantage during combat.
Enter the ring, win your bets, and show the entire city who really controls the streets.
Burglary Operations – Coming Shortly
The new burglary system will arrive as an additional update within one or two days following the release of the New Blood Major Patch.
Players will be able to recruit professional thieves through the Office and send them to rob homes across different districts.
Each district will offer a different balance of risk and reward. More dangerous neighborhoods will provide larger potential payouts while also increasing the chance of failure.
Recently robbed districts will remain under heightened security for a period of time, encouraging players to diversify their burglary operations instead of repeatedly targeting the same locations.
Restaurants and Street Food
New restaurants and street food vendors have been added throughout Night City.
Players can purchase meals to restore health and receive temporary bonuses, including increased stamina.
Several restaurant interiors can now also be entered while exploring the city in third-person mode, making Night City feel more interactive and alive.
New Supercars and Vehicle Improvements
New purchasable supercars have been added to Night City.
Every vehicle in the game can now be taken to the Chop Shop for visual customization and performance improvements.
Available vehicle upgrades include:
Vehicle wraps and visual modifications
Engine Upgrades
Steering Upgrades
Reinforced vehicle armor
Steering Upgrades provide sharper and more responsive handling, making vehicles easier to control during high-speed driving and tight turns.
Reinforced armor increases vehicle durability and helps players remain more effective during shootouts, police chases, drive-by attacks, and other armed confrontations.
Vehicle trunks can now also be opened, expanding vehicle interaction and preparing the system for additional gameplay possibilities.
Drift Races
New drift races have been added to Night City.
Players must maintain their drifts, build their score, and reach the required target before time runs out.
Different difficulty levels offer different time limits and score requirements, allowing players to improve their driving skills while competing for cash rewards.
Kurohana Warehouse Raids
Players can now raid the new Kurohana Warehouse and fight their way through enemy forces to obtain valuable rewards.
These raids provide a new combat-focused activity and another reason to directly challenge rival crime families throughout Night City.
Warehouse Defense
Rival families can now attack player-owned warehouses.
Players must defend their operations and protect the products stored inside. Failing to successfully defend a warehouse may result in the loss of a significant amount of stock.
Warehouse security, employee management, and preparation are now more important than ever.
Expanded Territory Mechanics
Rival crime families now demand a share of the profits generated by businesses operating inside their territories.
This creates an additional strategic reason to challenge enemy families, capture districts, and expand your control across Night City.
Taking control of a territory is no longer only about prestige. It can also help protect your businesses and prevent rival families from taking a share of your income.
Additional Improvements
The New Blood Major Patch also includes:
Separate sensitivity settings for third-person and simulation gameplay
Warehouse system improvements
Police system refinements
Expanded territory mechanics
Vehicle handling improvements
Gameplay balance adjustments
User interface improvements
Bug fixes
Numerous quality-of-life improvements
