Chapter 5-0 is now fully implemented!

*Since the start of the year, I’ve only had about few days off that actually felt like a break, and I’ve clearly built up a lot of fatigue, so I plan to take a few days off.

fixed(Critical bugs and bugs that can be fixed immediately will be addressed via silent updates.)
changed※The target for score adjustment is “when the total score for this stage reaches 25,000,000,000 points (=5,000 SUNSTONE) within the community by the end of March.”
changedIt’s quite natural for players engaging in unnatural gameplay to achieve unnatural scores, and in these times when the spirit of the SDGs is being championed, we’d like to dedicate ourselves to protecting this terrifying natural phenomenon.
changedThe passive skill for ATK/DEF increases in Chapter 5-0 is planned to grant the effect “When level reaches 999, stats increase directly,” but since the implementation work is a real pain, we’ll postpone it for a later date.
changedWhile the stages in Chapter 5 are generally vast, there are only four stages in the DLC itself, so we often heard that it felt insufficient.
changedIn response to this, we thought, “Don’t mess with us,” so we decided to implement additional stages for Chapter 5.

*I plan to replace the BGM for Chapter 5-0 sometime between March 30 and April 3.

The community has finally reached a point where even players have started overworking themselves; lately, posts like “I played without sleeping” and “I played 80 hours in a week” have been appearing, and I feel like we’ve truly gone as far as we can go.

It’s quite natural for players engaging in unnatural gameplay to achieve unnatural scores, and in these times when the spirit of the SDGs is being championed, we’d like to dedicate ourselves to protecting this terrifying natural phenomenon.

*The passive skill for ATK/DEF increases in Chapter 5-0 is planned to grant the effect “When level reaches 999, stats increase directly,” but since the implementation work is a real pain, we’ll postpone it for a later date.

Chapter 5-0: The Tactical Bridge Leading to the Rainbow has been implemented.

“An era long past, where magic existed and everything was there.

With the power of the past and the future, once again into the world of mirages.”

Tactical Nexus is a truly hopeless game that keeps churning out ridiculously priced DLC like there’s no tomorrow, but we’ve frequently received feedback from players saying, “Only the Chapter 5 DLC is lacking in value.”

While the stages in Chapter 5 are generally vast, there are only four stages in the DLC itself, so we often heard that it felt insufficient.

In response to this, we thought, “Don’t mess with us,” so we decided to implement additional stages for Chapter 5.

However, the game designer went off the rails, and the development of these stages which was supposed to take about a month ended up taking four months.

As a result, the volume of the Chapter 5 DLC exploded, and these added stages alone are now worth about as much as an entire Chapter 3 DLC.

I thought, “Don’t mess with me,” to the game designer.

This stage received extremely high ratings during beta testing and offers an incredibly intense experience of the new “Magic/Legacy” system, which appears in Chapter 6 and beyond.

(Or rather, since there aren’t that many stages this intense even in Chapter 6 and beyond, it might actually raise excessive expectations for those later chapters...)

In this stage, you can purchase items at the start.

(The required to purchase items can be obtained by consuming Sunstone shards and by achieving a high score in this stage.)

This stage features a highly unique system where “five small stages are contained within a single stage, and rewards are calculated based on the total score of each stage.”

(Since Chapter 6, the maps per stage have become larger, leading to frequent feedback from players saying, “I want to play a small stage again for the first time in a while,” so this was also a way to respond to that.)

In the early stages of the game, there’s so much information that you’ll likely be in a state where you don’t even know “which items are powerful.” However, Stage 1 is an easy stage; you should be able to clear it after playing a few times, and in the process, you’ll get a feel for how this stage works.

Additionally, as a unique mechanic of this stage, a very powerful boss the will appear.

The Unique Enemy that appears varies depending on the stage you select, and all of them are extremely powerful and very difficult to defeat.

The is primarily content intended for heavy users who have already cleared all stages and players who want to really dive deep into this stage.

If you do not own the DLC for Chapter 6 and beyond, you might want to prioritize clearing each stage this weekend rather than challenging the Unique Enemy.

At the very least, you’ll be stuck on this stage for at least several dozen hours, and if you manage to obtain the Mystic Gate, you’ll likely be stuck here for another 100 hours or so.

Please take your time and enjoy.
